2. Prepare Phases:
   • Phase A: In a heat-resistant beaker, combine distilled water and glycerin.
   • Phase B: In a separate heat-resistant beaker, combine sweet almond oil, shea butter, emulsifying wax NF, and cetyl alcohol.
3. Heat Phases: Place both Phase A and Phase B beakers into a water bath (or use a double boiler). Heat both phases to approximately 70-75°C (158-167°F). Ensure all solid ingredients in Phase B are fully melted.
4. Emulsify: Once both phases reach temperature, slowly pour Phase B (oil phase) into Phase A (water phase) while continuously stirring with a stick blender or whisk. Continue blending until a stable emulsion forms and the lotion begins to thicken, resembling a creamy consistency.
5. Cool Down: Remove the beaker from the water bath and continue stirring occasionally as the lotion cools to room temperature (below 40°C/104°F). This continuous stirring helps create a smooth, homogenous lotion.
