A shimmering green-gold pigment built for high-impact metallic finishes
Gold Luster Green Mica in a 3 g pack delivers a striking green-and-gold pearlescent shift that reads as a premium metallic accent across countless formulations. This pigment sits within the broader Mica Powders range, a collection of mineral pearlescent and metallic colorants used across color cosmetics, resin crafts, polymer clay work and a wide field of artisan projects. The compact 3 g size is particularly well suited to home cosmetic making, small trial batches and hobbyist projects where testing shade behavior and intensity matters more than bulk supply.
The strongest global demand for pigments like this one comes from color cosmetics: eyeshadows, highlighters, lip pigments, and especially nail lacquers and nail art gels, where the green-gold duochrome effect creates a chameleon-like shift depending on the viewing angle and lighting. Beyond makeup, this type of mica is widely used in epoxy resin art, polymer clay sculpting, candle making and soap coloring, as well as in scrapbooking and mixed-media painting where a stable, non-fading metallic finish is required. Its fine particle structure allows it to disperse evenly across both liquid and powder bases without clumping when handled correctly.
For best results, the pigment should be added at the final stage of a formulation, once the base has cooled to around 40-50 degrees Celsius, to prevent heat degradation of the shimmer effect. In liquid or cream systems it should be blended in gradually with constant stirring, while in dry powder blends it is best sifted together with the other ingredients for an even distribution. A typical usage rate ranges from 0.5 to 5 percent of the total formulation weight for cosmetic products, while resin and clay applications usually start with a small pinch and build up gradually to reach the desired opacity and shimmer intensity.
Gold Luster Green pairs well with other pearlescent and metallic pigments in the same line, allowing formulators to build layered, multidimensional color effects. Combined with Super Gold Mica 3 g, it produces a warm golden-green gradient, while blending in 24 Karat Gold Mica 3 g deepens the golden undertone for a more luxurious sheen. For softer, muted transitions, it can be mixed with Oriental Beige Mica 3 g to achieve gentle natural tones with a subtle metallic flicker.
Store the pigment in a tightly sealed container, away from direct sunlight and moisture, since humidity can cause particles to clump and lose their even dispersion quality over time. Kept under proper conditions, the pigment retains its color depth and shimmer for a long period without degradation.
