Nourishing Hair Oil at a Glance
Nourishing Hair Oil 1 L is a blend of three plant oils: evening primrose oil, avocado oil and jojoba oil. It is made for dry, coarse and porous hair that needs softening care from mid-lengths to ends. The product sits in our base oil blends in bulk range and can be used straight from the bottle or added to conditioners, masks, leave-in creams and hair sprays.
For stylists and small brands, a ready blend means one raw material instead of three and a texture that is light enough for the lengths yet rich enough for dry ends.
What Each Oil Brings
Avocado oil is high in oleic acid and gives a rich, cushioning feel. Jojoba is technically a liquid plant wax, so it spreads easily, absorbs without stickiness and leaves hair silky. Evening primrose oil contains gamma-linolenic acid and lightens the overall texture of the blend.
Together the three oils nourish hair along its length, smooth the cuticle surface, reduce the dry and brittle feel of the ends and add natural shine. Styled hair looks sleeker and more polished, and the scalp feels soft after an oil session.
Where to Use It
Finishing and Leave-In Care
Two or three drops warmed between the palms smooth flyaways and dry ends as the last styling step. For a fuller routine, the blend works alongside Hair Repair Oil on chemically processed lengths and before hot styling with Heat Protection Oil.
Hair Care Manufacturing
Manufacturers add the blend to rinse-off conditioners, masks, leave-in creams, hair milks and oil sprays. Its jojoba content makes it a good choice where a non-greasy finish matters.
How to Use
As a pre-wash mask, apply 5 to 15 ml to dry hair, keeping away from the roots, leave for 30 to 60 minutes and wash out with shampoo. As a leave-in, use 2 to 3 drops on the ends.
Typical use levels are 2-5% in conditioners, 2-8% in leave-in creams and fluids, 5-15% in masks and up to 100% in anhydrous products and oil sprays. Evening primrose oil is sensitive to heat and oxidation, so add the blend to emulsions during cool-down at 40-45 °C.
Compatibility and Processing Notes
The blend combines well with other plant oils, essential oils, oil-soluble vitamins and light emollients. To make it even lighter, dilute it with oils from our liquid oils in bulk section. It does not dissolve in water, so clear water-based products need a solubiliser. Add 0.2-0.5% tocopherol to anhydrous products, and always use a preservative in products that contain water.

FAQ
Will the oil weigh fine hair down?
Used sparingly, it spreads easily thanks to jojoba. For fine hair, start with one or two drops on the ends only.
Can it be used on coloured or lightened hair?
Yes. It is suitable for dry lengths after colouring or lightening, both as a pre-wash mask and as a leave-in.
Can the blend be heated?
Long heating is not recommended because of the evening primrose oil. Warming a few drops in the palms or adding the blend to an emulsion at 40-45 °C is enough.
What use level suits a leave-in cream?
Most leave-in creams and fluids work well with 2-8% of the blend, depending on the desired richness.
