Lysine amino acid ingredient for cosmetic formulation systems
Lysine is an amino acid used as a functional ingredient in development of cosmetic and technological formulations. The compound belongs to the category of amino acids incorporated into skin care and hair care systems. Lysine can be integrated into aqueous solutions, gel based textures and emulsion formulations. Due to compatibility with different cosmetic ingredients the amino acid is used in development of cosmetic serums, creams and gel formulations. Lysine is widely used in laboratory formulation development and industrial cosmetic manufacturing. Amino acid ingredients of this type are commonly incorporated into functional ingredient complexes and modern cosmetic formulations. The material is used in private label projects, contract manufacturing and industrial cosmetic production.
Properties and formulation interaction
Within cosmetic formulations Lysine functions as an amino acid ingredient integrated into different cosmetic textures. In creams, serums and gel based systems the ingredient distributes evenly throughout the formulation matrix and becomes part of the ingredient complex. In aqueous and emulsion systems Lysine can be easily incorporated into the formulation structure.
Applications across industries
Lysine is used in development of skin care formulations including creams, serums, gels and cosmetic masks. In hair care formulations the ingredient may be incorporated into shampoos, conditioners and hair masks. In body care formulations Lysine may be integrated into various cosmetic compositions. In SPA formulations the ingredient may be used in professional cosmetic systems. In formulation laboratories Lysine is widely used in development of cosmetic formulations and amino acid complexes. The ingredient may also be incorporated into ingredient systems for functional products, beverages and botanical complexes. Lysine is suitable for private label development, contract manufacturing and industrial production.
Recipe for amino acid cosmetic serum
Distilled water — 72 ml
Lavender hydrosol — 15 ml
Glycerin — 6 ml
Lysine — 3 g
Panthenol — 2 ml
Aloe extract — 1 ml
Cosmetic preservative — 1 ml
Preparation process
Distilled water is combined with lavender hydrosol to create the aqueous base of the formulation. Glycerin is incorporated and mixed until evenly distributed. Lysine is dissolved in the water phase until fully integrated within the formulation system. Panthenol is added and blended until the mixture becomes homogeneous. Aloe extract is incorporated and the formulation is mixed until a stable amino acid serum texture suitable for cosmetic manufacturing is obtained. At the final stage the preservative is added and the formulation is blended until a stable cosmetic product ready for production is achieved.
