Product Description
Lavender Glycolic Extract Functional Botanical Ingredient for Liquid Formulation Systems
Lavender glycolic extract is a botanical extract derived from Lavandula angustifolia using a glycol carrier and applied as a functional ingredient in liquid formulation systems. It is used in aqueous solutions, emulsions and hybrid products as an active or supporting component. The glycol base ensures compatibility with hydrophilic and partially lipophilic phases and provides stability in various technological conditions. It is widely used in food production, flavor systems, cosmetics, SPA, aromatherapy and cleaning products. Compatible with emulsifiers, polysaccharides, proteins and stabilizers enabling versatile and scalable formulation development.
Functional properties and role in formulation
The extract functions as a botanical functional ingredient evenly distributed in aqueous and emulsion systems without complex dispersion requirements. It contributes to formulation homogeneity and interacts with water phase and stabilizers. It can be added during cooling phase depending on formulation. Compatible with hydrolates, extracts, gelling agents and emulsifiers.
Properties and effect on final product
Ensures uniform texture and stable distribution in finished products. In liquid systems it forms homogeneous structure. In food and flavor systems contributes to plant based profile. In cosmetic and SPA products used as botanical component. Provides stability and reproducibility.
Application
Used in Food & Beverage, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, hair care, SPA, aromatherapy, cleaning, pharmaceutical and fragrance industries. Applied in contract manufacturing and private label production.
Recipe Lavender Soothing Toner Hydrophilic System
Lavender glycolic extract — 120 ml
Chamomile hydrolate — 600 ml
Glycerin — 80 g
Panthenol — 20 g
Allantoin — 5 g
The process begins with dissolving allantoin in heated water phase at about 60 degrees with mixing until complete dissolution. The system is cooled to 40 degrees and glycerin is added with mixing. Panthenol is introduced followed by mixing until uniform. During cooling below 35 degrees the lavender glycolic extract is added with gentle mixing to maintain stability. Final mixing ensures homogeneous structure and stable liquid product.
Manufacturing stability and scalability
The extract is stable in aqueous and emulsion systems under controlled temperature conditions. Easily scalable due to liquid form and compatibility with industrial processes. Ensures batch consistency and reliable performance in B2B production.
