The dye disperses well in melted wax at temperatures around 60 to 80 degrees Celsius, so it is best added once the wax base has fully melted but before fragrance oils are introduced, which helps the pigment distribute evenly through the mass. Beyond conventional candle making, this wax dye is used for tinting wax blocks and decorative blanks, for candles intended for aromatherapy sessions, and in related areas where coloring of wax and paraffin masses is required, including certain household wax items. The dye does not dissolve in water, so it cannot be introduced into water-based cosmetic phases or used to color liquid formulations — its application is limited strictly to wax and fat-based media.

Store the dye in a dry place at room temperature, in a tightly closed container, away from direct sunlight, which can affect pigment stability over long-term storage. Melt the paraffin wax over a double boiler until fully liquid, remove from heat and stir in the dye until the color becomes even and deep. Let the wax cool slightly to around 65 degrees Celsius, then add the fragrance oil and mix again thoroughly. Secure the wick at the bottom of the glass jar with a small drop of melted wax, pour the colored mixture into the jar and leave it to set at room temperature for several hours until completely hardened.
