Liquid Collagen Concentrate for Firmer, More Elastic Skin
Kollaren is a water-soluble concentrate of hydrolyzed collagen widely used in the formulation of anti-aging skincare, as well as in dermatological and wellness product development. The 100 ml packaging is well suited for home cosmetic making and small trial batches, allowing formulators to test a new serum, cream or mask recipe before scaling up to larger production. This ingredient belongs to the category of Anti-Age Actives, which brings together ingredients aimed at addressing signs of aging, loss of firmness and fine lines.
The primary application of Kollaren is in facial and body skincare, including serums, creams, gels, masks and lotions designed to improve skin elasticity and reduce the visibility of expression and age-related wrinkles. Thanks to their small molecular size, hydrolyzed collagen fragments can penetrate the upper layers of the epidermis and form a thin film on the surface that helps retain moisture and visually smooths skin texture. Beyond skincare, the ingredient is also used in body contouring products, post-procedure recovery formulas following aggressive cosmetic treatments, and in certain hand and decollete care lines.
Kollaren pairs well with other anti-aging actives, making it possible to build multi-component formulas with an enhanced effect. For instance, it works harmoniously alongside Milk rice complex, which further brightens and evens out skin tone, as well as with Marine Peptide, which supports cellular renewal signaling. It is also worth noting its compatibility with ready-made peptide bases, particularly the Peptide serum formulation, which can serve as a base for introducing the collagen concentrate.
It is recommended to add Kollaren at the final, cool-down stage of emulsion or serum preparation, at a temperature not exceeding 40 degrees, to avoid breaking down the protein chains. The standard usage rate ranges from 3 to 10 percent of the total product mass, depending on the desired concentration and formula type. The concentrate should be stored in a tightly closed container, in a cool place away from direct sunlight, avoiding sudden temperature fluctuations.
