Product Description
Cocamide DEA ingredient for foam stabilization and cleansing texture improvement
Cocamide DEA is widely used as a functional ingredient in cleansing formulations for skin and hair, providing foam stabilization and improved product consistency. Derived from coconut oil fatty acids, the ingredient is compatible with most surfactant systems and easily incorporated into liquid cleansing bases. It is commonly used in both laboratory formulation development and industrial production of daily care products.
Inclusion of Cocamide DEA allows creation of thicker cleansing products with improved consumer perception during use.
Properties and skin appearance outcome
In cleansing systems Cocamide DEA contributes to formation of stable foam, improves product distribution across skin and supports clean feel after rinsing. Products containing this ingredient are perceived as softer and more comfortable during application.
In shampoos the ingredient helps produce denser foam and improves product distribution throughout hair during washing.
Application across industries
Cocamide DEA is used in shampoos, shower gels, liquid soaps, facial cleansers, cleansing foams and professional washing systems. The ingredient is widely used in private label production thanks to its ability to improve formulation stability and increase product viscosity.
It is incorporated to enhance foam performance, stabilize cleansing systems and improve final product texture.
Recipe for thick shampoo with soft foam
Purified water 59 ml
Sodium Laureth Sulfate 24 ml
Cocamidopropyl Betaine 10 ml
Cocamide DEA 4 ml
Vegetable glycerin 3 ml
Calendula extract liquid 2 ml
Preservative Euxyl PE 9010 1 ml
Fragrance 1 ml
Sodium Laureth Sulfate is gradually incorporated into prepared water with gentle mixing to avoid excessive foam formation. Cocamidopropyl Betaine is then added until uniform cleansing base forms. After stabilization Cocamide DEA is introduced while mixing continues until viscosity increases and components distribute evenly. Glycerin and calendula extract are then incorporated followed by preservative and fragrance while mixing continues until stable texture forms. The finished formulation is allowed to stabilize before packaging.
Cocamide DEA is positioned for B2B cleansing product manufacturing supporting stable formulation performance and scalable industrial production.
