Step 3: Emulsify the Phases Remove both beakers from the heat. Slowly and steadily pour the oil phase (B) into the water phase (A) while continuously mixing with a high-shear mixer or hand blender. Continue mixing for several minutes until a stable, homogeneous emulsion forms.

Step 4: Cool and Add Active Ingredients (Phase C) Place the beaker with the emulsion in a cold water bath (or a bowl with ice) and continue stirring until the lotion cools down to below 40°C. Once cooled, add 1% Panthenol and 1% of your chosen preservative (e.g., Geogard Ultra or Optiphen Plus). Mix thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Step 5: Final Check and Packaging Perform a pH check (it should be in the 5.0-6.0 range). Adjust if necessary with a drop of lactic acid or baking soda solution. Transfer the finished lotion into a clean, sanitized bottle or jar.
