Product Description
EPS Seafill marine fermented exopolysaccharide Alteromonas ferment extract for aqueous cosmetic systems
EPS Seafill is a marine biotechnological complex based on exopolysaccharides obtained through fermentation of Alteromonas microorganisms. The ingredient appears as a clear to slightly opalescent liquid with color ranging from colorless to pale straw tone. The active biopolymer is dispersed in water and fully soluble in aqueous systems. It is incorporated into the water phase of cosmetic formulations and is not soluble in oils. The ingredient is compatible with humectants, amino acids, hyaluronic acid and water soluble polymer thickeners. The biotechnological origin ensures consistent quality and reproducible characteristics in laboratory development and industrial manufacturing.
Properties and skin performance
In aqueous and gel formulations EPS Seafill contributes to smooth homogeneous texture and soft sensory profile. Transparent systems maintain clarity and light opalescence. After application it forms a thin hydrating film that creates a smooth and comfortable skin feel.
Industry applications
EPS Seafill is used in serums, hydrating gels, creams, essences, masks and aqueous cosmetic concentrates. Suitable for professional skincare lines, SPA formulations and functional cosmetic systems. The stable aqueous format supports private label projects and contract manufacturing with scalable formulation processes.
Formula example
EPS Seafill 90 g
Purified water 520 ml
Glycerin 80 g
Betaine 30 g
Medium molecular hyaluronic acid 8 g
Carbomer 5 g
Triethanolamine 3 g
Panthenol liquid 20 g
Preservative system 2 g
Carbomer is dispersed in purified water under continuous mixing until the polymer is evenly hydrated. Glycerin and betaine are incorporated and mixed to create a homogeneous aqueous base. Hyaluronic acid is added and evenly dispersed throughout the system. The gel structure is formed by neutralizing the carbomer with triethanolamine. Once the gel cools EPS Seafill and panthenol are introduced and mixed until fully homogeneous. Finally the preservative system is incorporated and pH is adjusted to a balanced range suitable for hydrating gel formulations. The result is a clear hydrating gel with smooth texture.
EPS Seafill is positioned for B2B manufacturers of professional skincare, SPA products and functional cosmetic systems. The marine biotechnological origin provides stable aqueous performance, reproducible texture and compatibility with scalable industrial and contract manufacturing processes.
