Instructions:

1. In a heat-resistant beaker, combine Phase A (Distilled Water, Glycerin). Sprinkle Xanthan Gum evenly over the surface and whisk thoroughly to prevent lumps, allowing it to hydrate for 10-15 minutes.
2. In a separate heat-resistant beaker, combine Phase B (Jojoba Oil, Emulsifying Wax NF).
3. Heat both Phase A and Phase B to 70-75°C (158-167°F) in a double boiler or microwave. Ensure the emulsifying wax is fully melted in Phase B.
4. Slowly pour Phase B into Phase A while continuously stirring with a high-shear mixer (stick blender) until a smooth, uniform emulsion forms. Continue mixing as the emulsion cools.
5. Once the emulsion has cooled to below 40°C (104°F), add Phase C (Concentrated Yarrow Extract and Panthenol). Mix thoroughly until fully incorporated.
6. Finally, add Phase D (Preservative and Essential Oil Blend, if using). Mix well.
7. Check the pH of the serum (ideally between 5.0-6.0 for skin compatibility). Adjust if necessary with a few drops of lactic acid or sodium bicarbonate solution.
8. Transfer the finished serum into a clean, air-tight pump bottle or dropper bottle.

Application Recommendations:
