Rosalina Oil, 100 ml
A 100 ml bottle is the practical starting point for trials: evaluating the scent in your base, setting the level and preparing stability samples. The oil is steam distilled from the leaves of Melaleuca ericifolia, a paperbark known as Swamp paperbark. According to the product card the INCI name is Melaleuca Ericifolia Oil and the country of production is India.
Scent profile
Fresh, soft, floral-herbal with a light citrus nuance. It lacks the medicinal sharpness of tea tree, which makes it suitable where a delicate freshness is wanted.
Composition
Linalool and 1,8-cineole are usually the leading components, in contrast with tea tree, where terpinen-4-ol dominates. Verify lot data on the certificate of analysis.
Where it fits
Facial toners and gels
A light, fresh scent without harshness.
Hair care
Shampoos and conditioners.
Home fragrance
Diffusers and fabric sprays.
Dosage and handling
Leave-on products usually take 0.5 to 1 %, rinse-off products up to 2 %. Add the oil below 40 °C. It does not dissolve in water, so toners need a solubiliser.
Blending
Lavender, bergamot, lemon, fir and cypress. Linalool is a labelled fragrance allergen in the EU.
