Product Description
Geranium Essential Oil Pelargonium graveolens natural aromatic ingredient for cosmetic fragrance and SPA formulations
Geranium Essential Oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and young stems of Pelargonium graveolens. The material appears as a clear liquid ranging from light yellow to greenish yellow tone with a floral herbal aroma featuring subtle rose and green nuances. The oil dissolves fully in plant oils, waxes and lipid emollients and blends well with alcohol based fragrance bases. It is not soluble in water and is incorporated into the oil phase of cosmetic formulations. Due to its stable aromatic profile and compatibility with citrus, floral and woody essential oils it is widely used in fragrance and cosmetic systems.
Properties and skin performance
In cosmetic formulations geranium essential oil provides a distinctive floral herbal scent and enhances the sensory character of creams and oils. In aromatic compositions it creates a warm floral note with green nuances. Proper incorporation into the lipid phase maintains homogeneous texture.
Industry applications
Geranium Essential Oil is used in creams, oil serums, aromatic balms, SPA oils and fragrance compositions. It is widely applied in natural cosmetics, aromatherapy blends, scented candles and diffuser systems. The ingredient supports development of floral fragrance profiles for skincare and haircare products. The stable aromatic character makes it suitable for private label development and contract manufacturing.

Sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, grape seed oil, squalane and cetyl alcohol are combined and heated until the lipid phase melts completely. In a separate vessel purified water and glycerin are heated. When both phases reach similar temperature the oil phase is incorporated into the aqueous phase with continuous mixing to form an emulsion. During cooling geranium essential oil is added and mixed until evenly dispersed. The preservative system is introduced and pH is adjusted to a balanced range suitable for cosmetic emulsions. The final formulation forms a smooth aromatic cream with floral herbal scent.
Geranium Essential Oil is designed for B2B cosmetic manufacturers, fragrance developers and SPA product lines. The ingredient ensures stable aromatic performance, formulation compatibility and reproducible results in scalable industrial and contract manufacturing processes.
