Product Description
CERAMIDE A2: Fortify and Rejuvenate Your Skin's Barrier
Discover the potent benefits of CERAMIDE A2, a vital skin-identical lipid that plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and health of the skin barrier. This high-purity ceramide is specifically designed to mimic the natural ceramides found in the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the skin. By replenishing and reinforcing this essential barrier, CERAMIDE A2 offers a multitude of benefits, contributing to improved hydration, enhanced protection against environmental stressors, and a visibly smoother, healthier complexion. Its biocompatibility makes it an ideal ingredient for a wide range of cosmetic formulations aimed at addressing various skin concerns.
Applications and Areas of Use in Cosmetics:
CERAMIDE A2's exceptional barrier-restoring and skin-conditioning properties make it a valuable ingredient in numerous cosmetic applications:
- Moisturizers and Creams: Incorporate into daily moisturizers, night creams, and rich emollients to enhance hydration by preventing trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL). It helps to create a protective seal, keeping skin supple and well-nourished.
- Serums and Concentrates: Add to facial serums and concentrated treatments targeting dryness, dehydration, and compromised skin barriers. Its potent action can help restore the skin's natural resilience.
- Anti-Aging Formulations: Include in anti-wrinkle creams and serums to support the skin's natural repair mechanisms and improve its overall texture and firmness. A strong skin barrier is essential for youthful-looking skin.
- Barrier Repair Creams and Ointments: Formulate into specialized creams and ointments designed to soothe and repair damaged or irritated skin, such as after exfoliation, sun exposure, or harsh environmental conditions.
- Cleansers and Makeup Removers: Integrate into gentle cleansers and makeup removers to minimize stripping of the skin's natural lipids, helping to maintain a healthy barrier even during cleansing.
- Body Lotions and Balms: Add to body lotions, creams, and balms to combat dryness and maintain smooth, hydrated skin all over the body, especially in dry areas like elbows and knees.
- Lip Care Products: Include in lip balms and treatments to prevent chapping and dryness, creating a protective layer against external aggressors.
- Sunscreen Formulations: Incorporate to help mitigate the potential drying effects of UV filters and support the skin's barrier function during sun exposure.
- Post-Procedure Care: Utilize in formulations designed for use after cosmetic procedures like peels or microdermabrasion to aid in skin recovery and barrier restoration.
- Baby Care Products: Its gentle and skin-compatible nature makes it suitable for inclusion in baby lotions and creams to protect their delicate skin barrier.

Instructions:
- In a heat-resistant beaker, combine the distilled water and glycerin. Heat to 70-75°C.
- In a separate heat-resistant beaker, combine the Jojoba oil and emulsifier. Heat to 70-75°C until the emulsifier is fully dissolved.
- Slowly add the oil phase to the water phase while continuously stirring with a mini-mixer or homogenizer until a uniform emulsion forms.
- Remove from heat and continue stirring as the emulsion cools to room temperature.
- Once cooled, gently fold in the Sodium Hyaluronate, CERAMIDE A2, and Panthenol, ensuring they are fully dispersed.
- Add the preservative and Vitamin E, mixing thoroughly.
- Transfer the finished serum to a clean serum bottle with a dropper or pump.
Application Recommendations:
- Apply a few drops of the serum to clean, slightly damp skin on the face and neck.
- Gently pat or massage the serum into the skin until fully absorbed.
- Use once or twice daily, morning and/or evening, as part of your skincare routine.
- For optimal results, follow with a moisturizer to further seal in hydration.
- Introduce CERAMIDE A2 during the cool-down phase of formulation, below 40°C, to maintain its integrity.
- The recommended usage level of CERAMIDE A2 in cosmetic formulations typically ranges from 1% to 5%, depending on the desired effect and formulation type. Start with a lower concentration and adjust as needed.
- Ensure thorough mixing to achieve even distribution of CERAMIDE A2 within the formulation.
- Store the finished serum in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat.
