Why bleached granulated beeswax suits precision cosmetic formulas
Bleached beeswax in granulated form is a purified version of natural wax that has undergone additional processing to remove pigments and residual impurities. This treatment gives the raw material neutral properties, making it convenient for formulations where predictable results matter without affecting the final shade of the finished product. This granulated form belongs to the Waxes for cosmetics category, which gathers structuring ingredients for emulsions, balms and protective blends. The 25 gram pack is an ideal choice for test batches, laboratory trials and home formulation of small volumes, when it is important to calculate proportions precisely before scaling up to larger production.
The main application of bleached wax is lip care products, creams, balms, sticks and protective ointments, where a clear texture without the yellowish tint of raw wax is required. The material is also used in pharmaceutical production for ointment bases, in candle making for light decorative candles without pigmentation, and in the food industry as a glazing component for confectionery and coating certain types of cheese. The granulated structure simplifies dosing and speeds up melting compared to solid blocks, which is particularly valued in small scale manufacturing.
It is recommended to introduce the wax during the melting stage of the fat phase at a temperature between 60 and 70 degrees, with a typical dosage ranging from 5 to 20 percent of the total formula depending on the desired firmness. Bleached wax blends well with vegetable oils, cocoa butter and shea butter, as well as with other waxes — for instance with Natural Beeswax, if the recipe allows a light natural tone in certain layers of the product. For massage bars and solid conditioners, Natura-tec Olive Massage Candle Wax can be an interesting addition, giving the blend a soft pliability. For scented balms and wax sachets, a small amount of Violet leaf wax can be added for a distinct natural aroma.
Store the granules in a dry place at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, in a tightly closed container to prevent the granules from clumping and to keep moisture out. When storage conditions are respected, the material retains its properties for a long time without loss of quality.
