Ginkgo Biloba Concentrate for Industrial Formulations and Functional Products
Ginkgo biloba extract powder in a 1 kg pack is a concentrated botanical derived from the leaves of one of the oldest tree species on the planet. It belongs to the category of Powdered Extracts and Algae, which brings together concentrated plant extracts for industrial and studio-scale production. The kilogram pack is designed for conveyor-line manufacturing and regular buyers who value consistent supply and reproducible quality across batches.
Global demand for ginkgo biloba extract is concentrated primarily in the nutraceutical sector and functional food supplement manufacturing. Flavonoids and terpene lactones found in the leaves have been studied for decades for their role in supporting blood microcirculation and overall antioxidant balance, which is why the extract is widely used in capsules, tablets, powder blends, and functional beverages. The second major field of application is the pharmaceutical industry, where the botanical raw material serves as a base for standardized plant concentrates. The third significant area is cosmeceutical and personal care manufacturing, where the extract is valued for its antioxidant properties and its ability to support skin tone and nourish hair follicles.
In personal care formulations the powder is introduced into the water phase before emulsifiers are added, at a temperature not exceeding 40 degrees Celsius to preserve the activity of the biologically active compounds. Recommended dosage for serums, creams, and toners typically ranges from 0.1 to 1 gram per 100 grams of finished product, while dosages for functional beverages and food blends are calculated individually according to the manufacturing process. The extract pairs well with other botanical concentrates: interesting combined formulations can be created together with Turmeric 10% Extract Powder, which enhances the antioxidant effect of a formula, and with Coconut Extract Powder, which adds a nourishing component to the finished product. For laboratory trials and small pilot batches it is more practical to choose the smaller pack - Ginkgo Biloba Extract Powder 1:10 5 g, and move to the kilogram pack once the formulation is confirmed and ready for scaling.
The powder should be stored in tightly sealed packaging, in a dry area away from direct sunlight, at room temperature, avoiding excess humidity that could cause caking and reduce the activity of the active compounds. When storage conditions are respected, the extract retains its declared properties throughout the shelf life stated by the manufacturer.
