Sepiwhite MSH lipophilic cosmetic active Undecylenoyl Phenylalanine for emulsion and oil based formulations
Sepiwhite MSH is a cosmetic active based on Undecylenoyl Phenylalanine, an amino acid derivative with a lipophilic chain. This structure provides strong compatibility with oil phases in cosmetic formulations. The ingredient appears as a fine powder with white to light cream color and neutral odor.
The active is oil soluble and typically incorporated into the lipid phase of formulations. When heated the powder dissolves in plant oils, emollients and lipid bases and then distributes evenly throughout the system. During cooling partial crystallization may occur, therefore emulsifying systems or solubilizing emollients are commonly used to maintain formulation stability.
Sepiwhite MSH is compatible with creams, fluids, lotions and decorative cosmetic products. The ingredient remains stable across various formulation systems and supports development of products with different textures.
Properties and skin performance
Within cosmetic formulations the active distributes within the lipid phase and maintains smooth product texture. Finished formulations show uniform consistency and soft sensory characteristics.
Products containing the ingredient spread easily across the skin and create a clean cosmetic finish. The ingredient is commonly used in formulations designed to support visually balanced skin tone appearance.
Industry applications
Sepiwhite MSH is used in facial creams, emulsions, oil serums, cosmetic fluids and decorative cosmetic systems. The ingredient is applied in skincare formulations, functional cosmetic lines and professional cosmetic products.
In formulation practice the ingredient is dissolved in the oil phase and incorporated during the emulsification stage. This approach ensures even distribution throughout the formulation and stable product structure.
Sepiwhite MSH is widely used in formulation laboratories, private label development and contract cosmetic manufacturing where formulation stability and scalability are required.
Formula example
Sepiwhite MSH 3 g
Grapeseed oil 80 ml
Squalane 50 ml
Cetearyl alcohol 20 g
Montanov 68 emulsifier 30 g
Glycerin 50 g
Purified water 440 ml
The water phase is prepared by mixing purified water with glycerin. In a separate vessel the oil phase is heated combining grapeseed oil, squalane, cetearyl alcohol and emulsifier. Sepiwhite MSH is then added to the oil phase and mixed until fully dissolved. The oil phase is combined with the water phase under mixing to form an emulsion. After cooling the mixture forms a smooth cream texture and the pH is adjusted to a stable range.
Sepiwhite MSH is widely used in professional cosmetic formulation and industrial manufacturing. The ingredient supports stable integration in emulsion systems and enables reproducible scalable cosmetic production.
