Ronaflair Extender W functional optical filler based on Mica and Titanium Dioxide for texture refinement and blur effect
Ronaflair Extender W is a performance filler composed of mica coated with titanium dioxide INCI Mica CI 77891 Titanium Dioxide. It is designed for formulations where visual refinement of the skin surface and improved sensory properties are required. The material is positioned as a high efficiency functional filler rather than a basic extender, providing both optical and tactile modification of cosmetic systems.
What it is and where it is used
Ronaflair Extender W is used in products that aim to improve the visual appearance of the skin without increasing opacity. It is widely applied in liquid foundations pressed and loose powders primers concealers and hybrid complexion products.
It is also included in skin care systems where an immediate visual smoothing effect is desired. In professional formulations it is used to upgrade texture feel and application behavior.
How it works
The performance is based on controlled light diffusion. The mica platelets coated with titanium dioxide scatter incoming light in multiple directions which reduces contrast on the skin surface.
This optical mechanism softens the visibility of pores micro relief and fine irregularities. The effect is instant and purely physical without interaction with biological processes.
Properties
Delivers a controlled soft focus visual effect
Improves uniformity of surface appearance
Enhances slip and distribution during application
Reduces greasy perception in formulations
Maintains a lightweight and natural finish
Acts as a multifunctional filler with optical performance
Applications across industries
In decorative cosmetics it is used in complexion products to create a smoother and more refined visual finish
In skin care it is used in creams gels and emulsions where instant optical correction is required
In professional cosmetic development it is applied to improve sensory profile and spreadability
In cosmetic manufacturing it is a key tool for blur effect and texture optimization systems
Behavior in formulation
Ronaflair Extender W is insoluble and functions as a dispersed solid phase. Proper dispersion ensures even distribution without affecting emulsion stability.
It is compatible with oils silicones waxes pigments and emulsifiers. It supports transparent coverage while maintaining optical efficiency.
How to use
The material is incorporated into the oil phase or pre dispersed in a suitable liquid carrier. In anhydrous or powder systems it is blended directly.
High quality dispersion is essential to avoid aggregation and ensure uniform optical performance.
Recommended usage level
Typical usage ranges from 1 percent to 6 percent
In complexion products 2–5 percent is commonly applied
Formulation example
Soft focus skin base with improved glide and finish
Purified Water — 700 ml
Glycerin — 35 ml
Cetearyl Alcohol — 25 g
Glyceryl Stearate Citrate — 12 г
Caprylic Capric Triglyceride — 85 ml
Cyclopentasiloxane — 25 ml
Ronaflair Extender W — 30 g
Titanium Dioxide CI 77891 — 18 g
Iron Oxides CI 77491 CI 77492 CI 77499 — 10 g
Phenoxyethanol Ethylhexylglycerin — 5 ml
Processing
Oil and water phases are heated separately to approximately 70 degrees and combined under mixing to form an emulsion. Ronaflair Extender W and pigments are pre dispersed in the oil phase for optimal distribution.
After emulsification the system is homogenized and cooled with continuous mixing. At temperatures below 40 degrees Phenoxyethanol Ethylhexylglycerin is added. The formulation is mixed until fully uniform.
Important considerations
Ronaflair Extender W is not an active ingredient but a functional modifier affecting visual perception and texture.
The final effect depends on particle distribution and overall formulation balance. Proper integration allows development of lightweight products with enhanced visual smoothness and refined sensory properties.
