Rizactive Rose Rice Complex for Skin and Hair Formulation
Rizactive Rose is a multi-component cosmetic system based on rice starch, rice bran oil and hydrolyzed rice protein. Its aqueous base also contains Propylene Glycol or Glycerin, a plant extract and Xanthan Gum, creating a ready-to-use complex for facial emulsions, masks, cream serums, shampoos, conditioners and scalp care products.
The ingredient combines several rice-derived materials with complementary functions. Oryza Sativa Starch supports a soft, silky skin feel and can help reduce the heavy or greasy sensation of a formulation. Oryza Sativa Bran Oil contributes a botanical lipid component, while Hydrolyzed Rice Protein provides conditioning and light film-forming properties.
Propylene Glycol or Glycerin acts as the humectant solvent system depending on the supplied version of the ingredient. Xanthan Gum supports the structure and stability of the aqueous complex.
Rice starch for elegant cosmetic textures
Rice starch is valued in cosmetic formulation for its soft sensory profile. It can help create a smoother, drier and less tacky finish in creams, masks and lightweight emulsions.
This makes Rizactive Rose particularly relevant to products developed for combination skin, daily moisturizers and formulas where a refined after-feel is important.
In hybrid skin care and makeup formulas, the starch component may also support improved spreadability and a visually softer finish.
Rice bran oil for lipid care
Oryza Sativa Bran Oil provides the botanical oil element of the complex. It supports emollient skin care concepts and can complement other oils, esters and ceramide systems.
Rizactive Rose is therefore suitable for formulas designed for dry, mature or seasonally stressed skin, provided the remaining formulation is developed for the intended sensory profile.
Hydrolyzed rice protein
Hydrolyzed Rice Protein is a water-compatible protein fraction used in both skin care and hair care.
In facial products, it can contribute to a light conditioning film and a smoother skin feel. In shampoos, conditioners and masks, it supports softness, manageability and a more cared-for appearance.
This dual skin and hair application gives Rizactive Rose flexibility across multiple cosmetic categories.
Facial care applications
Rizactive Rose can be incorporated into moisturizers, cream serums, facial masks, daily emulsions and products developed for balanced skin feel.
For combination skin concepts, the rice starch component helps create a less oily finish. For dry skin products, rice bran oil supports the lipid phase and complements humectants and barrier-oriented ingredients.
The complex may be combined with betaine, amino acids, hyaluronic ingredients, panthenol, peptides and compatible botanical extracts.
Hair and scalp care
The hydrolyzed rice protein component makes Rizactive Rose suitable for shampoos, conditioners, rinse-off masks and lightweight leave-in products.
In hair care formulas, it can support smoother combing, softness and a refined surface feel. In scalp products, the complex can be used in gentle moisturizing and balancing concepts.
Formulators should control the total lipid level when designing products for fine hair to avoid an unnecessarily heavy result.
Processing Rizactive Rose
The complex is generally most suitable for addition during the cool-down stage of an emulsion or into an appropriate water phase according to the supplier’s technical guidance.
Prolonged high-temperature exposure should be avoided because the composition contains hydrolyzed protein and a plant extract.
Compatibility should be evaluated with emulsifiers, rheology modifiers, preservatives, electrolytes and other active ingredients. The starch, oil and xanthan gum content may affect clarity, viscosity and the appearance of the finished product.
Silky Rice Facial Cream Formula
Distilled water 775 g
Glycerin 30 g
Jojoba oil 45 g
MCT oil 35 g
Olivem 1000 45 g
Cetyl alcohol 10 g
Rizactive Rose 40 g
Betaine 10 g
Preservative 8 g

Combine distilled water, glycerin and betaine to prepare the water phase. In a separate vessel, combine jojoba oil, MCT oil, Olivem 1000 and cetyl alcohol.
Heat and process both phases according to the emulsifier requirements, then combine and emulsify until uniform.
During cooling, add Rizactive Rose gradually while mixing. Add the preservative and fragrance at the appropriate final stage.
Mix until the cream is uniform, then evaluate the required pH, viscosity, stability and packaging compatibility.
Developing a rice-based cosmetic range
Rizactive Rose can support the creation of coordinated product collections built around rice-derived ingredients. A range may include a facial cream, mask, serum, shampoo and conditioner.
The combination of rice starch, rice bran oil and hydrolyzed rice protein provides a balanced approach to sensory enhancement, lipid care and protein conditioning.
Rizactive Rose is suitable for cosmetic laboratories, contract manufacturing, private label development and independent formulators creating modern skin and hair care products.
