Product Description
A blending agent that keeps fragrance formulas stable
Rigin is commonly used whenever fragrance oils, essential oils, dyes or active additives need to be evenly dissolved before being introduced into a base formula. This product belongs to the Solvents and humectants category, and its main role is to help blend components that would otherwise separate while also supporting the moisture balance of the finished product. The 1 liter pack size suits small studios and workshops that have moved beyond single test batches but are not yet ordering at full industrial volumes.
The leading area of use for Rigin is the fragrance and personal care industry, where the solvent helps release scent notes, reduces the viscosity of concentrated oils and prevents emulsions from splitting. It is typically added while blending fragrance oils with emulsifiers or carrier oils, before the main phase is heated, which keeps the final product stable. Beyond fragrance work, the compound is widely used in household chemical production — air fresheners, scented cleaning products and car care items all rely on similar solvents to disperse fragrance evenly through water or alcohol bases. In food production, comparable solvents are used to prepare aromatic extracts and essences, though purity requirements there follow separate standards.
In skin and body care formulas, Rigin pairs well with liquid and gel bases, helping active ingredients spread evenly through the whole batch. A good example is combining it with Body Wash Organic Base, where the solvent is added before the fragrance to achieve a more stable result without phase separation. The compound also complements formulas built around Vitamin B5, where the humectant effect works alongside the solvent action to improve overall formula stability. When working with foaming liquid products, it is also worth considering Alcohol, which is used to control foam levels in finished formulas.
A typical usage rate for Rigin ranges from 3 to 10 percent of the total formula weight, depending on the concentration of the fragrance or extract being dissolved. The ingredient is added at a cool or slightly warmed stage, keeping the temperature below 40 degrees to preserve volatile aromatic compounds. Mixing should be gentle and steady, avoiding air bubbles, until the mixture is fully uniform. Store the solvent in a tightly closed container, in a cool dark place away from direct sunlight and heat sources, which helps preserve its properties over a long period.
Scented room spray
Rigin 40 ml
Distilled water 200 ml
Fragrance oil 15 ml
Ethyl alcohol 45 ml
In
a separate container, blend Rigin with the fragrance oil until the mixture is
clear and uniform, then carefully add the alcohol and stir again. Slowly pour
this concentrate into the water in a thin stream while stirring continuously to
avoid clouding. Transfer the finished blend into a spray bottle and let it rest
for a full day before use so the fragrance can fully develop.
