In resin work, the bordeaux pearl produces a deep wine-like shimmer with a metallic sheen that looks especially striking in thin layers or gradient pours. It should be added in small amounts, roughly 1-3 drops per 30-50 g of mixed resin and hardener, once the two components are already thoroughly blended and most air bubbles have been released. The pigment is stirred in until fully even, without streaks, at room temperature around 20-25 degrees, which keeps the resin at its ideal working viscosity while the pearl disperses evenly. For more complex effects, bordeaux is often paired with other shades from the same line: a drop of Silver Liquid Metallic Pearl adds a cool contrast, while combining it with Gold Liquid Metallic Pearl gives an aged-wine effect with a warm glow. To deepen the tone further, a small addition of Red Liquid Metallic Pearl is sometimes used.

In decorative cosmetics, this pigment is used for highlighters, eyeshadows, lip glosses and nail products with a shimmering wine finish. It should be introduced once the base has cooled to no higher than 40-45 degrees, preserving the structure of the pearl particles and preventing them from breaking down under heat. Dosage is typically fine-tuned by starting with a minimal amount, a few drops per 50-100 g of base, and gradually increasing until the desired shimmer intensity is reached.

In candle making, the bordeaux pearl is stirred into melted wax at around 60-70 degrees right before pouring, producing an attractive shimmering finish on the surface of the finished candle. In small amounts it can also be added during cold or hot process soap making, giving the finished bar a subtle wine-toned shimmer without altering the base structure.

The product should be stored in a tightly sealed container, away from direct sunlight, at room temperature to keep its stability and working properties over time. Shaking the bottle gently before each use is recommended, since particles can settle during storage.

Mix the resin and hardener thoroughly in a separate container until fully combined, then add the pearl pigment and stir again until the color is evenly distributed with no streaks. Let the mixture rest for a couple of minutes to release trapped air, gently warm it with a heat gun if needed, then pour it carefully into a silicone coaster mold. Spritz the surface lightly with isopropyl alcohol to pop any remaining bubbles and leave it to cure at room temperature according to the resin manufacturer's instructions.
