2. Prepare Phase B: In a separate heat-resistant beaker, combine emulsifying wax NF, sweet almond oil, and shea butter.
3. Heat Phases: Heat both Phase A and Phase B in a double boiler or separate microwave sessions until Phase B is fully melted and both phases reach approximately 70-75°C (158-167°F). Ensure xanthan gum is fully hydrated in Phase A (it may appear slightly gelled).
4. Emulsify: Slowly pour Phase B (oils and wax) into Phase A (water) while continuously stirring with a stick blender or high-shear mixer. Blend for 2-3 minutes to ensure a stable emulsion. The mixture will start to thicken and turn opaque.
5. Cool & Add Phase C: Continue stirring periodically as the lotion cools down to approximately 40°C (104°F). This slow cooling helps stabilize the emulsion. Once cooled, add the Fragrance Oil "Love Story Chloe", liquid preservative, and Vitamin E (Phase C).
6. Final Mix & Bottle: Stir thoroughly to ensure all Phase C ingredients are well incorporated. Pour the finished lotion into clean, sanitized bottles or jars.
