Product Description
Octapeptide 2 peptide ingredient for cosmetic formulation development
Octapeptide 2 is a synthetic peptide ingredient used in development of modern cosmetic formulations. Peptide ingredients belong to the category of functional actives used in different cosmetic systems. Octapeptide 2 can be incorporated into aqueous solutions, gel based textures and emulsion formulations. The ingredient is compatible with various cosmetic bases and is commonly used in development of cosmetic serums, creams and gel formulations. Due to formulation stability and compatibility with other cosmetic ingredients the peptide is widely used in laboratory formulation development and industrial cosmetic manufacturing. Peptide ingredients of this type are incorporated into modern skin care formulations and active ingredient complexes. Octapeptide 2 is used in private label cosmetic projects, contract manufacturing and industrial cosmetic production.
Properties and formulation interaction
Within cosmetic formulations Octapeptide 2 functions as a peptide active integrated into different cosmetic textures. In serums, creams and gel systems the ingredient distributes evenly throughout the formulation matrix and becomes part of the active ingredient complex. In aqueous and emulsion systems the peptide can be easily incorporated into formulation structures.
Applications across industries
Octapeptide 2 is used in development of skin care products including creams, serums, gels and cosmetic masks. In hair care formulations the ingredient may be incorporated into shampoos, conditioners and hair masks. In body care formulations the peptide may be used in various cosmetic compositions. In SPA formulations the ingredient may be incorporated into professional cosmetic systems. In formulation laboratories Octapeptide 2 is widely used in development of peptide complexes and cosmetic formulations. The ingredient may also be incorporated into ingredient systems for functional products, beverages and botanical complexes. Octapeptide 2 is suitable for private label development, contract manufacturing and industrial production.
Recipe for peptide cosmetic gel
Distilled water — 69 ml
Lavender hydrosol — 18 ml
Glycerin — 7 ml
Octapeptide 2 — 2 g
Panthenol — 2 ml
Green tea extract — 1 ml
Cosmetic preservative — 1 ml
Preparation process
Distilled water is combined with lavender hydrosol to create the aqueous base of the formulation. Glycerin is incorporated and mixed until evenly distributed. Octapeptide 2 is dissolved in the water phase until fully integrated within the formulation system. Panthenol is added and blended until the mixture becomes homogeneous. Green tea extract is incorporated and the formulation is mixed until a stable peptide gel structure suitable for cosmetic manufacturing is obtained. At the final stage the preservative is added and the formulation is blended until a stable cosmetic product ready for production is achieved.
