Product Description
Octapeptide 2 peptide ingredient for cosmetic formulation systems
Octapeptide 2 is a synthetic peptide ingredient used in development of modern cosmetic formulations. The ingredient belongs to the category of peptides commonly incorporated into skin care formulation systems. Peptide ingredients are widely used in laboratory formulation development due to compatibility with different cosmetic bases. Octapeptide 2 can be integrated into aqueous solutions, gel textures and emulsion based systems. Due to compatibility with cosmetic ingredients the peptide is used in development of serums, creams and gel based formulations. The ingredient is incorporated into modern cosmetic formulations and active ingredient complexes. Peptide ingredients of this type are widely used in private label cosmetic projects, contract manufacturing and industrial cosmetic production.
Properties and formulation interaction
Within cosmetic formulations Octapeptide 2 functions as an active ingredient integrated into different cosmetic textures. In serums, creams and gel based compositions the ingredient distributes evenly throughout the formulation matrix and becomes part of the active ingredient system. In aqueous and emulsion systems the peptide can be easily incorporated into the formulation structure.
Applications across industries
Octapeptide 2 is used in development of skin care formulations including creams, serums, gels and cosmetic masks. In hair care products the ingredient may be incorporated into shampoos, conditioners and hair masks. In body care formulations the peptide may be used in various cosmetic compositions. In SPA formulations the ingredient may be incorporated into professional cosmetic systems. In formulation laboratories Octapeptide 2 is used in development of cosmetic formulations and peptide complexes. The ingredient may also be used in ingredient systems for functional products and beverages. Octapeptide 2 is suitable for private label development, contract manufacturing and industrial production.
Recipe for peptide cosmetic serum
Distilled water — 70 ml
Rose hydrosol — 15 ml
Glycerin — 7 ml
Octapeptide 2 — 2 g
Panthenol — 3 ml
Aloe extract — 2 ml
Cosmetic preservative — 1 ml
Preparation process
Distilled water is combined with rose hydrosol to form the aqueous base of the formulation. Glycerin is incorporated and mixed until evenly distributed. Octapeptide 2 is dissolved in the water phase until fully integrated within the formulation system. Panthenol is added and blended until the mixture becomes homogeneous. Aloe extract is incorporated and the formulation is mixed until a stable peptide serum texture suitable for cosmetic manufacturing is obtained. At the final stage the preservative is added and the formulation is mixed until a stable cosmetic product ready for production is achieved.
