Bulk Carbamide for Agriculture, Automotive Fluids and Skincare Manufacturing
Urea, chemically known as carbamide, is one of the most globally demanded raw materials, and its demand is driven by far more than the cosmetic industry alone. The largest share of consumption comes from agriculture, where it serves as a concentrated nitrogen fertilizer, followed closely by the automotive sector, where urea forms the base for diesel exhaust fluid used to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. The chemical industry also relies heavily on carbamide for producing resins, adhesives and binding agents, while a steadily growing niche is cosmetic manufacturing, where urea is valued as an effective humectant and skin-softening agent. This is why the product belongs to the Solvents and humectants category, which brings together raw materials responsible for controlling moisture and texture in finished formulations.
The 25 kg package is designed for businesses with steady procurement needs - automotive fluid production lines, fertilizer blending facilities, large-scale cosmetic and pharmaceutical manufacturers, and companies preparing technical solutions for industrial use. This volume ensures uninterrupted supply throughout a full production cycle and significantly reduces the cost per kilogram compared to smaller packaging.
In cosmetic formulations, urea is typically introduced at concentrations of 2 to 10 percent into hand and foot creams, lotions and balms, where it binds moisture in the stratum corneum and promotes gentle exfoliation of rough skin. At higher concentrations, from 20 to 40 percent, carbamide is used in specialized products aimed at intensively treating very dry and cracked heel skin. The ingredient is best added at the final stage of emulsion preparation, at temperatures not exceeding 40-45 degrees Celsius, since higher heat can gradually decompose the compound and release ammonia. Urea dissolves readily in water and in the aqueous phase of formulations, making it compatible with hydrosols, glycerin, panthenol and other humectant ingredients commonly used alongside it.
For technical and agricultural applications, carbamide is dissolved in water to prepare nutrient solutions, and it also serves as raw material for synthesizing resins and binders used in woodworking and furniture manufacturing. When handling a bulk package, it is important to remember that the product is hygroscopic and readily absorbs moisture from the air, so it should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated space, in its original tightly sealed packaging, away from direct heat sources and open flame.
For trial batches or laboratory testing before scaling up to full production, smaller packages are more convenient - such as Urea 1 kg or Urea 1kg, allowing formulators to fine-tune a recipe before committing to the 25 kg volume. In cosmetic recipes, carbamide is often paired with direct-melt soap bases, such as the Goat Milk Soap Base, blended in once the melted base has cooled to around 55-60 degrees to create a softening hand product.
Intensive Foot Cream with Urea
Urea (Carbamide) - 90 g
Distilled water - 380 g
Shea butter - 55 g
Vegetable emulsifier - 38 g
Glycerin - 28 g
Panthenol - 12 g
Preservative - as recommended by manufacturer
Melt
the shea butter and emulsifier together over a water bath until reaching 70
degrees, while separately heating the water and glycerin to the same
temperature, then combine both phases and stir thoroughly until a smooth
emulsion forms. Cool the mixture down to 40-45 degrees, then add the urea
pre-dissolved in a small amount of water along with panthenol and the
preservative, mix until fully uniform, and pour into clean containers.
