A meltable base built for creative layered soap projects at home
Zetesap C11 in a 1 kg package is a ready-to-use melt and pour base that lets you produce quality bars quickly without cooking from raw fats or handling lye. This base belongs to the category of Melt and Pour Soap Bases, which brings together various meltable bases suitable for cosmetic production and craft workshops alike. C11 is valued for its clarity and firm hold, making it a strong choice for embedding dried flowers, glitter, mica, and other decorative inclusions inside the finished bar.
The main application of this material is producing cosmetic and decorative bars through melting, without the need for lye handling or long curing times typical of cold process methods. It suits workshops, testing new formulations before scaling up production, and small studios producing limited batches for specific orders. The 1 kg format is particularly convenient for trial batches and home-scale production, when it matters to see how the base behaves with different additives before committing to larger volumes.
Before use, the base is cut into cubes and melted in a double boiler or microwave using short bursts, avoiding boiling and air bubble formation. The optimal melting temperature usually falls between 60 and 70 degrees Celsius, after which the melt is cooled slightly before active ingredients are introduced. Essential oils and fragrances are best added around 45-50 degrees to prevent evaporation of volatile components and loss of scent. Carrier and cosmetic oils are typically used at 5-15 grams per 100 grams of base, while colorants and pigments are dosed by drops or grams depending on concentration.
Zetesap C11 pairs well with other meltable bases, allowing multilayer compositions with contrasting clarity and texture. For a softer, milky tone many combine it with Goat Milk Soap Base 1 kg, while a richer honey scent and warm tint can be achieved with Soap base Honey soap base England, from 12 kg. As production volumes grow and a steady raw material supply becomes necessary, it makes sense to move to Soap base Zetesap C11, from 30 kg, which reduces the cost per unit and supports stable supply for continuous production lines.
Store the base in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and humidity fluctuations, in a tightly sealed package. Under proper storage conditions the material retains its working properties for a long time without losing its ability to melt evenly or developing layering issues.
Clear bars with a green tea and mint scent
Zetesap C11 base - 200 grams
Sweet almond oil - 10 grams
Green tea essential oil blend - 6 drops
Green mica pigment - a pinch
Dried mint leaf flakes - 3 grams
Cut
the base into cubes and melt it in a double boiler until fully liquid, avoiding
overheating. Once removed from heat, let the melt cool slightly, then stir in
the sweet almond oil thoroughly. Dissolve the green mica pigment in a small
amount of melted base separately before blending it into the main mixture for
even color distribution. Add the green tea essential oil blend last at around
45 degrees Celsius, then quickly fold in the dried mint leaf flakes and pour
the mixture into molds. Allow the bars to set at room temperature for several
hours until fully hardened.
