LipaProtease enzyme complex as a biocatalytic ingredient for cleansing, renewal and stabilization in advanced formulations
LipaProtease is a multi-enzyme complex combining lipase and protease stabilized with Maltodextrin and Silica. It is produced through controlled fermentation using Lactobacillus plantarum, ensuring high biocompatibility, stability and predictable performance across various formulation systems. This type of enzymatic raw material is designed for modern formulations where controlled interaction between components and long-term stability are essential.
In formulation environments, LipaProtease operates primarily in aqueous systems where it selectively interacts with protein and lipid structures. This improves distribution of ingredients, enhances formulation uniformity and supports stability of multi-phase systems. The presence of carriers ensures good flowability and accurate dosing in industrial manufacturing.
Properties and functional role
LipaProtease delivers both proteolytic and lipolytic activity, making it a versatile functional ingredient. Within formulations it enables controlled breakdown of organic materials and improves interaction between phases, resulting in more stable systems.
The ingredient is stable within pH 4.5–7.2, allowing integration into a wide range of formulations. Silica acts as a stabilizing carrier preventing particle aggregation and supporting uniform dispersion during production.
Properties and result
In finished products LipaProtease contributes to improved texture, better sensory properties and enhanced formulation consistency. It supports the performance of other active ingredients and improves cleansing efficiency.
Functionally it allows reduction of surfactant load in formulations while maintaining performance, enabling the development of milder systems.
Purpose
LipaProtease is used as a functional enzymatic ingredient for cleansing, renewal and stabilization of formulations. It is suitable for emulsions, gels and dry systems.
In industrial processes it can be used in biotechnological systems and in formulations targeting organic residue processing.
Application
In cosmetics LipaProtease is used in creams, gels, enzymatic powders, masks and cleansers. In SPA applications it is used in professional treatments preparing the surface before active formulations.
In household and industrial cleaning it is used for gentle removal of organic residues. In food and nutraceutical processing enzyme complexes are used in technological processing systems when compliant with standards.
In contract manufacturing it serves as a flexible ingredient for scalable formulation development.
Recipe
Enzymatic gel cleanser for surface preparation
Ingredients:
Deionized water — 70 ml
Glycerin — 5 g
LipaProtease — 2 g
Decyl Glucoside — 5 g
Hydroxyethylcellulose — 0.7 g
PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil — 2 g
Sweet almond oil — 6 ml
Panthenol — 1 g
Phenoxyethanol — 0.8 g
Lactic acid — 0.5 ml
Technology
The water phase is heated to 65–70°C, glycerin is added and hydroxyethylcellulose is dispersed until a uniform gel is formed. The oil phase is prepared separately and combined with the water phase under mixing. During cooling to 40°C LipaProtease, Panthenol and preservative are added. Final pH is adjusted to 5.0–5.5.
Instruction
Avoid adding the enzyme complex at high temperatures to preserve activity. Maintain controlled mixing to prevent excessive foaming. After preparation allow the product to stabilize and verify pH and viscosity before packaging.
Manufacturing stability
LipaProtease shows high stability when used under controlled processing conditions. During scale-up it is essential to control mixing speed, temperature and sequence of ingredient addition.
The ingredient is compatible with a wide range of emulsifiers, surfactants and thickeners, enabling stable and reproducible industrial manufacturing.
