Bringing a deep ocean tone into resin, wax and bath product formulas
Liquid ultra dyes have become a practical choice across small and mid-size production because they mix instantly without pre-dilution and keep color consistent batch after batch. Sea Breeze liquid pigment 1 L belongs to the collection of Pigment Liquid ULTRA Dyes, developed for even coloring of watery and low-polarity bases without settling or streaking. The most common real-world use of this kind of pigment spans bath bomb and bath salt manufacturing, gel decor items, slime base coloring, resin casting and household chemical products, wherever a deep saturated blue-teal shade is needed.
The 1 liter format is aimed at studio and small-batch manufacturers who need repeatable color rather than a single trial run. This volume suits workshops producing goods in series without recalculating ratios for every new batch. The dye is best added at the final mixing stage once the base has cooled to room temperature, since excess heat can distort the perceived shade and lead to overuse. Typical dosage sits between 0.3 and 2 percent of total batch weight, though the exact concentration is easiest to confirm with a small test pour before committing to the full production run.
Sea Breeze pairs well with plant-derived extracts often used in cosmetic and personal care formulas for added functional properties. Interesting combinations appear when it is blended with Rosehip extract, which introduces a subtle natural tint and enriches the formula with botanical content, or with Sea Lavender Extract, whose name echoes the oceanic theme and reinforces the overall concept of the finished product. For added depth and shimmer in decorative work, formulators often layer this dye alongside pearl pigments, particularly Brown Liquid Metallic Pearl, which introduces a warm contrasting undertone against the cool base shade.
In soap making this dye also finds occasional use, giving a stable ocean-wave tone in cold or hot process bars without noticeable color migration, though this remains just one of several applications rather than the primary purpose. Store the pigment in a tightly sealed container, away from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures, at stable room conditions to preserve shade consistency throughout its shelf life.
Ocean wave bath bomb batch
Baking soda 200 g
Citric acid 100 g
Cosmetic carrier oil 30 ml
Sea Breeze liquid pigment 5 ml
Sea Lavender Extract 10 ml
Isopropyl alcohol 15 ml
Sift and blend the dry powders thoroughly in a large bowl, then dissolve the pigment and extract into the oil until fully uniform. Slowly pour the liquid mixture into the dry blend while continuously rubbing it through with your hands to prevent premature fizzing. Mist the mass lightly with alcohol from a spray bottle until it reaches a damp sand consistency, then pack it firmly into molds and let it dry at room temperature for at least twenty four hours before unmolding.
