Achieving a Consistent Lilac Shade Across Industrial Batches
The Pigment dye Lilac 1 L is formulated for manufacturers who work with large production runs and need a repeatable, batch-to-batch consistent shade. This liquid concentrate belongs to the Pigments Liquid category, which brings together concentrated coloring compounds designed for industrial and semi-industrial use. Unlike powder pigments, the liquid form requires no pre-dispersion and can be dosed directly through pumps and mixing systems, which significantly speeds up production line workflows.
The primary application of this pigment lies in epoxy resin casting, polymer composites, decorative concrete, as well as coloring candle blends and household chemical products. The lilac shade is widely used in decorative resin panels, resin jewelry, art flooring with poured effects, scented candles and gel-based products. To a smaller but noticeable extent, the pigment also finds use in color cosmetics and, occasionally, in soap making to tint the soap base. Thanks to its high pigment concentration, consumption per liter of finished product remains economical even at industrial production volumes.
The pigment should be introduced during the mixing stage, before polymerization or setting begins, at temperatures ranging from room temperature up to 70 degrees Celsius depending on the base material. For epoxy resins, the recommended dosage is between 2 and 20 grams per kilogram of resin, while for wax and paraffin blends it ranges from 5 to 15 grams per kilogram depending on the desired color intensity. Before introducing a full production batch, it is advisable to run a small-scale test mix to lock in the exact dosage for a specific formula.
This pigment blends well with other liquid colorants, allowing for custom shade combinations: adding a small amount of Golden Sun Liquid Pigment creates a warm transition into lavender-gold tones, while combining it with Aquamarine Liquid Pigment produces a deep blue-violet gradient effect popular in poured decorative pieces. Interesting metallic accents can also be achieved by pairing it with Copper Pigment, particularly in decorative concrete and artistic resin work.
Store the dye in a tightly sealed container, away from direct sunlight, at room temperature, avoiding freezing conditions. When storage guidelines are followed, the pigment retains stable coloring properties over an extended period, making the 1 liter format convenient for regular production supply without risk of spoilage of unused stock.
Lilac Marbled Concrete Coasters
White cement 400 g
Water 150 ml
Fine sand 200 g
Pigment dye Lilac 6 g
Mix the cement, sand and water into a smooth uniform paste. Divide the mixture into two portions, tinting one portion with the lilac pigment while leaving the other portion natural white. Pour the two portions into a coaster mold in swirling layers, using a thin stick to create a marbled pattern without fully blending the colors. Allow the coasters to cure undisturbed for at least 24 hours at room temperature before demolding and letting them fully harden for several more days.
