Deep Violet Pigment Built for Large-Scale Candle Runs
This concentrated wax dye in a 1 kg pack delivers a rich violet shade designed for manufacturers who need consistent, repeatable color results across large production runs. It belongs to the Candle colorants category, which brings together pigments suited for paraffin, soy, palm and gel wax bases used both in small workshops and on industrial candle-pouring lines. Candle manufacturing remains the primary market for such dyes worldwide, though violet pigments are equally popular for decorative home accessories, scented candle lines for hospitality businesses, and gift products.
The core purpose of this dye is uniform, saturated coloring of melted wax on a commercial scale. The pigment dissolves cleanly without clumping and does not settle at the bottom of the mold when the correct dosage and melting temperature are used. To achieve a strong violet tone, producers typically use between 0.5 and 2 grams of dye per kilogram of wax, with the exact ratio depending on desired intensity and the base material. Paraffin and palm wax often require slightly higher dosages compared to soy wax, which tends to hold pigment more efficiently.
The dye should be added to already melted wax at roughly 70-80 degrees Celsius, stirred thoroughly until the granules fully dissolve and the color spreads evenly through the mixture. Only after this stage should fragrance oils and stearic acid be introduced, preventing uneven coloring or streaking on the finished surface. This pigment pairs well with paraffin, soy and palm waxes, as well as with other dyes for custom color blending.
For soft lavender and lilac tones, manufacturers often blend this violet dye with White Wax Colorant for Candle 5 g, gradually lightening the base shade to the desired depth. To create warmer plum and aubergine tones, a small amount of Coffee Wax Dye for Candles 100 g is sometimes mixed in, adding a deeper warm undertone to the violet base. For decorative candles with a bright neon effect, this violet shade can be combined with Fluorescent Pink Wax Dye for Candles 5 g to produce striking gradient layers in multi-tone candles.
The 1 kg pack size is aimed squarely at industrial and conveyor-line production: this quantity is enough for hundreds, and at lower dosages even thousands, of standard candles, making it a cost-effective choice for production facilities and studios with steady order volumes. Color consistency batch after batch is particularly important for brands whose product shade needs to remain recognizable over long production cycles.
Store the dye in a tightly sealed container, in a dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources, to prevent premature clumping of the granules and loss of color intensity. Under proper storage conditions the pigment retains its performance and coloring strength for a long period.
Violet Lavender Vanilla Pillar Candles
Paraffin wax 800 g
Palm wax 100 g
Stearic acid 100 g
Violet candle dye 1.5 g
Lavender vanilla fragrance oil 30 ml
Cotton wick 1 pc
Melt the paraffin, palm wax and stearic acid together in a double boiler until fully liquid at around 75 degrees Celsius. Add the dye gradually while stirring constantly until the color becomes uniform throughout the mixture. Remove from heat, let the blend cool to about 60 degrees, then stir in the fragrance oil gently to avoid trapping air bubbles. Secure the wick at the center of the mold, pour the wax mixture in, and allow it to set at room temperature for at least six hours away from drafts or sudden temperature changes.
