Cumin Seed CO2 Extract as a Flavor and Skin Care Concentrate
Cumin CO2 Extract is produced from seeds through carbon dioxide extraction, a method that preserves volatile aromatic compounds and lipid components without heat damage or solvent residue. The 5 g packaging is well suited for trial batches, dosage testing and small-scale production runs where formulators need to check compatibility before scaling up a recipe. This concentrate belongs to the CO2 Extracts category, known for highly active, richly concentrated botanical ingredients used across many industries.
Worldwide, the strongest demand for cumin CO2 extract comes from the food industry, where it flavors processed meats, sausages, sauces, spice blends and marinades, giving a warm, slightly nutty note without introducing extra moisture into the formulation. The second major field of use is fragrance and perfumery, where cumin is valued as a warm, spicy accord for oriental and masculine compositions. In cosmetics, the extract is added to warming massage products, anti-cellulite formulas, and joint or muscle balms thanks to its ability to stimulate local circulation, as well as to hair strengthening treatments and oily skin care products, where it helps balance sebum production.
The extract works well combined with other concentrates from the same line. It pairs naturally with Black Cumin CO2 Extract, boosting the overall toning effect in skin and hair formulas, and can be complemented by Nettle CO2 extract for hair strengthening blends. For antioxidant and restorative creams, a good partner is Grape Seed CO2 Extract, which further softens and nourishes the skin.
A typical dosage of cumin CO2 extract in cosmetic formulas ranges from 0.1 to 1 gram per 100 grams of finished product, depending on the desired fragrance intensity and functional activity. In food applications, dosage is adjusted individually according to the required flavor strength. The extract should be added at the final formulation stage, once the base has cooled to around 35-40 degrees, to avoid destroying its volatile components through heat exposure. Store the product in a tightly closed container in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat sources to preserve its activity throughout the shelf life.
