Bulk Peppermint CO2 Concentrate Built for Continuous Production Lines
Peppermint CO2 Extract in a 1 kg package is designed for manufacturers who need a reliable volume of raw material without repeated reordering of small batches. This product belongs to the CO2 Extracts category, obtained through supercritical carbon dioxide extraction without solvents, which preserves the maximum share of volatile aromatic compounds and active constituents of the plant, including menthol and menthone, responsible for the characteristic cooling sensation on skin and mucous membranes.
The largest global demand for peppermint CO2 extract comes from the food industry and oral care manufacturing. Confectionery producers use it to flavor chewing gum, hard candies, chocolate fillings and beverages, while manufacturers of toothpaste, mouthwash and breath fresheners value the extract for its concentrated cooling and refreshing effect at very low dosage. In the pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical sectors, the concentrate is used in cooling gels and body balms, post-sport recovery products, foot care items, as well as scalp shampoos and tonics where the menthol component creates a sensation of freshness. The fragrance industry incorporates the extract into fresh and herbal accords, and household chemical producers apply it in air fresheners and aerosol sprays.
For industrial formulation, correct dosage matters: typically between 0.02 and 0.3 percent of the finished product is sufficient, since the concentrate is highly potent and excessive amounts can cause irritation. It is recommended to add the extract at the final formulation stage, at a temperature not exceeding 40-45 degrees Celsius, to avoid degrading volatile fractions and losing the cooling effect. In cold-process emulsions and gels, the extract can be added directly into the water or gel phase after homogenization.
When developing multi-component aromatic compositions, the peppermint concentrate blends well with other CO2 extracts. In perfumery bases it is often paired with Geranium CO2 extract 5 g to produce fresh floral-herbal notes, while functional skin products often add Black Aronia CO2 Extract 5 g for antioxidant support of the formula. In spicy warming-cooling compositions for balms and rubs, the peppermint concentrate develops interestingly alongside Nutmeg CO2 Extract 5 g, creating a layered warm-cool effect.
The extract should be stored in a sealed dark glass or metal container, in a cool place away from direct light and heat sources, to maintain the stability of volatile components throughout the use of the large package. When storage conditions and the correct addition temperature are respected, the product retains a high concentration of active substances across the entire production cycle, making it convenient for planning regular purchases for serial manufacturing.
Industrial-batch cooling foot cream
Shea butter 300 g
Coconut oil fractionated 250 g
Emulsifying wax 120 g
Distilled water 300 g
Peppermint CO2 Extract 5 g
Panthenol liquid 25 g
Melt
the shea butter, fractionated coconut oil and emulsifying wax together over a
water bath until fully liquid, then cool the mixture to around 45 degrees
Celsius. Warm the distilled water separately to a similar temperature and
slowly combine it with the oil phase while mixing continuously until a stable
cream forms. Once the mixture cools below 40 degrees, blend in the panthenol
and peppermint CO2 extract, stirring thoroughly before transferring the finished
cream into containers for cooling and packaging.
