Hyadisine Marine Biotechnology Active for Advanced Hydration and Professional Skin Care Formulations
Hyadisine is an innovative marine biotechnology ingredient developed from Pseudoalteromonas Exopolysaccharides, naturally produced by marine microorganisms. The composition contains Water (Aqua), Pseudoalteromonas Exopolysaccharides, Citric Acid and Sodium Salicylate, creating a highly compatible aqueous active for modern cosmetic formulations. Owing to its marine origin and multifunctional performance, Hyadisine has become one of the most recognized moisturizing ingredients used by premium cosmetic manufacturers, contract laboratories and professional skin care brands worldwide.
The primary global application of Hyadisine is facial skin care. The ingredient is incorporated into hydrating serums, facial creams, emulsions, gels, essences, toners, facial mists, sheet masks, hydrogel masks, eye care products, post-treatment cosmetics and SPA formulations. Cosmetic developers select Hyadisine because it allows the creation of lightweight products with refined sensory characteristics while supporting long-lasting skin hydration and excellent formulation aesthetics.
Marine exopolysaccharides provide a unique hydration mechanism by forming a flexible hydrophilic network on the skin surface. This microscopic moisture-binding layer helps maintain water balance while leaving a smooth, comfortable finish. Because of this characteristic, Hyadisine is frequently combined with different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid to build advanced multi-level hydration systems suitable for premium cosmetic products.
Hyadisine demonstrates excellent compatibility with Sodium Hyaluronate, hyaluronic acid, betaine, ectoin, trehalose, niacinamide, panthenol, peptides, amino acids, hydrolyzed proteins, ceramides, allantoin, bisabolol, botanical extracts, water-soluble vitamins and antioxidant complexes. This broad formulation flexibility enables manufacturers to develop sophisticated cosmetic products ranging from transparent water gels to rich moisturizing emulsions.
Premium anti-aging cosmetics represent another important commercial sector for Hyadisine. The ingredient is widely incorporated into concentrated facial serums, day creams, night creams, moisturizing emulsions and intensive facial treatments where elegant texture and sustained hydration are essential formulation goals. Its compatibility with modern active ingredients allows formulators to develop multifunctional products without compromising stability or sensory performance.
Hyadisine is equally valuable in formulations designed for sensitive skin. Cosmetic laboratories frequently combine the ingredient with Centella asiatica extract, beta-glucan, ceramides, allantoin, panthenol and naturally derived polysaccharides to create gentle cosmetic systems with balanced hydration and pleasant application properties.
Although skin care remains the dominant application, Hyadisine is also incorporated into selected hair care formulations. Moisturizing scalp serums, leave-in conditioners, hair masks, lightweight sprays and scalp care products benefit from its compatibility with hydrolyzed keratin, amino acids, conditioning polymers, panthenol and other water-soluble cosmetic ingredients commonly used in professional hair care.
Professional SPA products also make extensive use of this marine active. Hyadisine is found in hydrogel masks, cosmetic concentrates, ampoule treatments, cooling gels and intensive hydration programs. Since the ingredient is supplied in an aqueous medium, it can be incorporated easily into most cosmetic systems without requiring complex manufacturing procedures.
During production, Hyadisine is generally added during the final stage of manufacturing at temperatures below 40 °C. The ingredient is compatible with carbomer, xanthan gum, hydroxyethylcellulose, acrylate thickeners and the majority of modern emulsion systems. Maintaining the recommended formulation pH helps preserve product stability and ensures consistent performance throughout the product's shelf life.
Its marine biotechnology origin, excellent compatibility with advanced cosmetic ingredients, ease of formulation and growing worldwide demand have established Hyadisine as a preferred moisturizing active for premium cosmetic development, contract manufacturing and innovative skin care technologies.
Example formulation for an intensive hydrating gel serum
Distilled Water - 80 g
Hyadisine - 5 g
Betaine - 4 g
Niacinamide - 3 g
D-Panthenol - 2 g
Sodium Hyaluronate - 0.2 g
Preservative - 0.8 g
Citric Acid Solution - adjust to pH 5.3-5.6
Dissolve Betaine, Niacinamide and D-Panthenol in distilled water while stirring continuously. Add Hyadisine and mix until completely uniform. Incorporate Sodium Hyaluronate followed by the preservative. Adjust the final pH with a Citric Acid solution and continue mixing until a clear homogeneous gel serum is obtained.
Hyadisine has become one of the leading marine moisturizing actives used in advanced cosmetic development. Its exceptional formulation compatibility, biotechnology origin and versatility across multiple cosmetic categories make it an excellent ingredient for premium skin care, SPA treatments, hydration systems and professional cosmetic innovations.
