- Foot Scrubs: Highly effective in foot scrubs to soften rough patches and prepare feet for moisturizing.
- For Hand Care:
- Hand Scrubs: Create gentle hand scrubs that exfoliate and soften the delicate skin on hands, improving their appearance and texture.
- For Soap Making (Melt & Pour or Cold Process):
- Can be suspended in melt & pour soap bases to create exfoliating soap bars. The pink color will also add a lovely visual element to your handmade soaps.
- In cold process soap, they can be added at trace to provide a natural scrub effect.
Important Considerations:
- Suspension: Due to their insolubility, these granules will need to be adequately suspended in your formulation. In thinner liquids, they may settle over time, so consider using a gelling agent or thickener, or advise users to shake the product before use.
- Formulation Type: They are best incorporated into viscous products like creams, gels, lotions, or shower gels to ensure even distribution and effective delivery during application.

Instructions for Preparation:
- Sanitization: Thoroughly sanitize all your equipment (heat-proof beakers, stirring rods, containers) with isopropyl alcohol and allow them to air dry completely.
- Prepare Phase A (Emollient Base): In a heat-proof beaker, combine Emulsifying Wax, Stearic Acid, Sweet Almond Oil, and Shea Butter. Heat gently on a double boiler or in a microwave (using short bursts) until all ingredients are completely melted and uniform.
- Prepare Phase B (Aqueous Phase): In a separate heat-proof beaker, combine Distilled Water and Glycerin. Heat to the same temperature as Phase A (around 70-75°C / 158-167°F).
- Emulsification: Slowly pour Phase B into Phase A while continuously stirring with a stick blender or whisk. Continue blending/whisking until a smooth, uniform emulsion forms. The mixture will start to thicken as it cools.
- Cool Down: Allow the emulsion to cool down to below 40°C (104°F), stirring occasionally to maintain consistency and prevent a skin from forming.
- Add Phase C (Cool Down Phase): Once the emulsion has cooled, add the Pink Exfoliating Granules, Fragrance Oil, Preservative, and Vitamin E. Stir thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are well-distributed. Ensure the granules are evenly suspended.
- Check pH (Recommended): Test the pH of your finished scrub. For a body scrub, an ideal pH range is typically 5.0-7.0. Adjust if necessary.
- Package: Carefully transfer the finished scrub into a clean, sterile jar or container.
Recommendations for Application and Use:
- Granule Percentage: A 3% concentration of Pink Exfoliating Granules provides a noticeable yet gentle scrub. You can adjust this percentage based on the desired exfoliation intensity, but typically stay within 1-5% for face, and up to 10% for body.
- Suspension: Since the granules are insoluble, ensure your base is thick enough to suspend them. If the product is too thin, the granules may settle over time. You can advise users to stir or shake the product before use if settling occurs.
- Application: Apply a small amount of the scrub to damp skin (face or body). Gently massage in circular motions, focusing on rougher areas. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
- Frequency: For facial use, 1-2 times per week is usually sufficient. For body, you can use it 2-3 times per week, depending on skin sensitivity.
- Storage: Store the scrub in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. The preservative will help ensure shelf stability.
- Avoid Sensitive Areas: Do not use on broken or irritated skin. Avoid direct contact with eyes.
