Product Description
Ginkgo Biloba Glycolic Extract: Enhance Your Formulations with Natural Vitality
Ginkgo Biloba Glycolic Extract is a meticulously prepared botanical extract derived from the leaves of the Ginkgo Biloba tree, carefully processed using a glycolic solvent system to optimize the extraction of its valuable bioactive compounds. This extract is rich in flavonoids (particularly ginkgo flavone glycosides) and terpenoids (ginkgolides and bilobalide), known for their potent antioxidant, microcirculation-enhancing, and skin-soothing properties. Its water-soluble nature makes it readily incorporable into a wide array of cosmetic formulations, offering a natural approach to promoting skin health and vitality.
Diverse Applications in Cosmetic Formulations:
Ginkgo Biloba Glycolic Extract is a versatile ingredient that can significantly enhance the efficacy and appeal of various cosmetic products:
- Anti-Aging Serums and Creams: Its powerful antioxidant properties help combat free radical damage, a major contributor to premature skin aging. By protecting collagen and elastin fibers, it can contribute to reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots, promoting a more youthful complexion.
- Eye Care Products: The extract's ability to improve microcirculation can be particularly beneficial in eye creams and serums, helping to reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness by promoting better blood flow and reducing fluid retention in the delicate under-eye area.
- Facial Toners and Mists: Incorporating Ginkgo Biloba Glycolic Extract into toners and facial mists can provide an added boost of antioxidants and soothing properties, helping to calm irritated skin and prepare it for subsequent skincare treatments.
- Moisturizers: Its skin-soothing and circulation-enhancing effects can complement the hydrating properties of moisturizers, contributing to a healthier and more radiant skin appearance.
- Body Lotions and Creams: The extract's benefits extend to body care formulations, where it can help improve skin tone, reduce the appearance of cellulite (due to improved circulation), and provide antioxidant protection against environmental stressors.
- Scalp Treatments and Hair Care Products: By promoting better blood flow to the scalp, Ginkgo Biloba Glycolic Extract can help stimulate hair follicles and potentially contribute to healthier hair growth. It can be incorporated into scalp serums, hair masks, and conditioners.
- Soothing and Calming Formulations: Its anti-inflammatory properties make it a valuable addition to products designed for sensitive or irritated skin, helping to reduce redness and discomfort.
- Sun Protection Products: While not a UV filter itself, the antioxidant properties of Ginkgo Biloba Glycolic Extract can help protect the skin against the damaging effects of UV radiation when used in conjunction with sunscreen agents.
- Cleansers: Even in cleansing formulations, the extract can provide a gentle antioxidant boost and help soothe the skin during the cleansing process.

Instructions:
- Combine the water and glycerin (Phase A) in a clean beaker and stir until homogenous.
- In a separate clean beaker, combine the Ginkgo Biloba Glycolic Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Niacinamide, and Panthenol (Phase B). Stir gently until all ingredients are dissolved.
- Slowly add Phase B to Phase A while continuously stirring with a magnetic stirrer or a handheld mixer.
- Sprinkle the Xanthan Gum (Phase C) slowly onto the surface of the liquid while continuously stirring at a moderate speed to avoid clumping. Continue stirring until the gum is fully hydrated and the mixture thickens slightly. Allow time for full hydration.
- Once the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened, add the Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, and Allantoin (Phase D). Stir gently until evenly distributed.
- Adjust the pH of the serum if necessary (typically between 4.5 and 6.5 for optimal skin compatibility).
- Carefully transfer the finished serum into a clean and airtight serum bottle with a dropper or pump.
Application Recommendations:
Apply a few drops of the Anti-Aging Ginkgo Biloba Facial Serum to clean, slightly damp skin on the face and neck in the morning and evening before applying moisturizer. Gently pat the serum into the skin until fully absorbed. For optimal results, use consistently as part of your daily skincare routine. Avoid direct contact with eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
