Dosage in finished formulas usually ranges from 20 to 100 percent of the water phase depending on the desired concentration of active properties. It blends well with other plant distillates: in complex toners it is often combined with chamomile hydrosol to enhance the calming effect, or with celandine hydrosol when developing formulas for problematic skin. For tired and dull complexions it pairs nicely with raspberry hydrosol, which contributes additional antioxidant properties.

The hydrosol is compatible with most emulsifiers, preservatives, plant extracts and active complexes used in cosmetic formulation. Mixing with strong acids without preliminary emulsion stability testing is not recommended. Store the product in a tightly closed container, in a cool dark place away from direct sunlight and heat sources, which helps preserve its properties throughout the shelf life. After opening, it is best used within the period specified by the manufacturer, maintaining cleanliness when drawing the product from the container.
