Bringing Neon Glow to Resin, Wax and Craft Projects with Blue Fluorescent Pigment
The Fluorescent Blue Pigment 5 g belongs to the Fluorescent Pigments section and delivers an intense neon blue tone that glows brightly under UV light while showing a vivid acid shade in regular daylight. This type of pigment is widely used across many industries: epoxy resin art and jewelry casting, polymer clay coloring, slime making, body art and face painting for UV parties, decorative candle production, and coloring of plastic items and novelty products. The small 5 g pack is well suited for trial batches, testing a shade before committing to larger production runs, and small home craft projects where precise dosing matters more than bulk quantity.
The pigment does not dissolve in water, so it performs best in oil-based, wax-based and polymer systems, including epoxy resins and plastisols. For an even, saturated color, add the pigment to a melted or liquid base at a temperature not exceeding 60-70 degrees Celsius, stirring thoroughly until all particles are fully dispersed without clumping. A typical dosage ranges from 0.1 to 1 gram of pigment per 100 grams of base, depending on the desired glow intensity and the density of the final piece. For deeper, more saturated results in resin castings, the concentration can be gradually increased while testing on small sample pours.
Blue fluorescent pigment blends well with other bright shades from the same line, allowing for gradients and multicolor effects. Pairing it with Lemon Fluorescent Pigment 50 g creates striking cool-warm contrasts, while combining it with Fluorescent pigment Green HX 18 5 g works well for ocean-wave or underwater-themed decorative pieces. To soften the intensity and create a pastel neon look, adding a small amount of White Fluorescent Pigment 50 g dilutes the shade and produces a gentler glow.
Store the pigment in a dry, dark place at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, which can gradually reduce fluorescence intensity over time. Keep the container tightly sealed after each use to prevent moisture and dust contamination. When handling the dry powder, wearing gloves and covering the work surface is recommended, since fine pigment particles disperse easily in the air and can tint nearby surfaces.
Glow-in-UV Resin Coaster Set
Clear epoxy resin 60 ml
Hardener 30 ml
Fluorescent Blue Pigment 0.3 g
Silicone coaster mold 1 pc
Mix
the epoxy resin with the hardener in the correct ratio until fully combined and
free of streaks. In a separate small cup, blend the blue fluorescent pigment
with a small portion of the mixed resin, stirring until the particles are
completely dispersed, then fold this colored portion back into the main batch
and mix again. Pour the mixture into the silicone mold, remove any air bubbles
with a toothpick or a heat gun on low setting, and let it cure undisturbed at
room temperature for 24-48 hours away from dust and direct sunlight until fully
hardened.
