Raw material profile for formulation teams

INCI name Inula Helenium. The extract retains the lipid profile of the root. Cosmetic labs incorporate it into emulsions for skin and hair comfort. Supplement and food manufacturers source it as a botanical ingredient for blends and functional products. CO2 extract Elecampane 1 kg covers larger production runs.

Integration parameters in manufacturing

Recommended input level is 0.5-3 percent into the oil phase at temperatures below 40 °C. The material disperses readily in lipid carriers. For aqueous toners, pre-dilution in a solubilizer is advised. Solubility tests confirm compatibility with common cosmetic bases.

Example hair and scalp serum

Combine 75 g jojoba oil, 20 g squalane and 3 g of the extract. Add 2 g vitamin E. Fill into dropper bottles. Apply a few drops to scalp twice weekly and massage gently.
