Cherry Essential Oil, 100 ml
This listing is cherry essential oil in a 100 ml bottle, produced in China and labelled with the INCI name Cherry essential oil. The card describes the colour as clear to pale yellow and the scent as gentle, warming, honey-sweet and rosy, framed by a subtle green note, very thin, clean and rounded.
The 100 ml size is practical for scent trials, small artisan batches and comparing the material against other fruity notes before scaling up.
How the scent behaves
The honey-sweet heart makes cherry a soft, approachable fruit note rather than a sharp, sour one. The faint green edge keeps it from turning syrupy, so it sits comfortably in body care and home fragrance where a cosy, rounded character is the goal.
Documents to request first
Before a production run, ask for the safety data sheet and the IFRA certificate of the lot. These documents set the allergen list for your label and the maximum level for each product category, so they come before any dosing decision.
Applications
Body and hand care
Lotions, body butters and hand creams with a sweet fruity scent, within the limits of the lot documents.
Bath products
Bath oils and bath salts. The card dosage for a bath is 3 to 5 drops premixed with a tablespoon of an emulsifier such as milk, honey or salt.
Diffusers and aroma lamps
The card suggests 3 to 6 drops for an aroma lamp, which is a useful starting point for home fragrance trials.
Working with the oil
Add cherry oil to emulsions in the cool-down phase below 40 °C. For water-based sprays and bath products combine it first with an emulsifier or solubiliser. In anhydrous balms and butters it can go straight into the melted oil phase once the temperature has dropped.
Pairings
Vanilla, tonka-type sweet notes, almond, rose, jasmine and soft musks underline the honeyed side, while a touch of bergamot or green leaves brightens it. Supporting oils are in the wholesale essential oils section.
Example: whipped body butter, 200 g
Melt 80 g of shea butter and 40 g of cocoa butter together, then stir in 50 g of sweet almond oil and 26 g of apricot kernel oil. Once cooled, add 1 g of tocopherol and 3 g of cherry essential oil.
Chill the blend until it starts to set at the edges, then whip with a hand mixer for five minutes until light and fluffy. Spoon into jars and let it rest overnight. Cherry makes up 1.5 % of the butter; confirm this against the IFRA certificate of your lot.
Storage and larger pack
Keep the bottle closed, cool and away from light. For regular production the same oil comes as cherry essential oil in 1 L, and butters for whipped products are in wholesale solid oils.
Write the opening date on each bottle so older stock is used first.
