Product Description

Eclipsogen EHT lipophilic UV filter with high photostability for sunscreen formulations

Eclipsogen EHT is a lipophilic sunscreen ingredient based on Ethylhexyl Triazone designed for cosmetic formulations containing UV filters. The material appears as a clear to slightly yellowish oily liquid or concentrated lipid dispersion depending on supply format. It is fully soluble in oils and incorporated into the oil phase of emulsions or anhydrous formulations. Insoluble in water, it provides excellent compatibility with emollients, emulsifiers and other lipophilic filters. The ingredient demonstrates high photostability and remains stable during thermal processing, making it suitable for industrial sunscreen manufacturing.

Properties and skin performance

In cosmetic systems it forms clear or slightly opalescent emulsions without affecting viscosity. The lipophilic structure allows uniform distribution in the oil phase and contributes to a smooth texture. Properly balanced formulations maintain a lightweight sensory profile with even spreading on the skin surface.

Industry applications

Eclipsogen EHT is widely used in sunscreen creams, lotions, fluid emulsions and decorative cosmetic formulations containing UV filters. Suitable for functional cosmetic lines, professional skincare systems and advanced sunscreen development. Compatible with private label and contract manufacturing due to stable oil phase incorporation and reproducible batch performance.

Formula example

Eclipsogen EHT 40 g
Jojoba oil 55 ml
Grapeseed oil 50 ml
Squalane 40 ml
Glyceryl stearate 22 g
Purified water 800 ml
Glycerin 55 g
Preservative system 2 g

Glyceryl stearate is blended with the oils and squalane and heated until a homogeneous oil phase forms. Eclipsogen EHT is added and fully dissolved in the lipid phase. In a separate vessel the aqueous phase is prepared by mixing purified water and glycerin. The oil and water phases are combined under intensive mixing to form a stable emulsion. After cooling the preservative system is incorporated and mixing continues until uniform. The pH is adjusted to a balanced level suitable for emulsion stability. The final product is a lightweight sunscreen cream with uniform texture.

Eclipsogen EHT is designed for B2B cosmetic manufacturers developing sunscreen and emulsion systems. It ensures lipid phase stability, compatibility with industrial processing and reproducible performance in scalable production.
