Origin and characteristics
Cosmoperine is an advanced cosmetic active derived from black pepper fruits (Piper nigrum). Its key bioactive compound, piperine, is well known for enhancing the penetration and bioavailability of other ingredients within cosmetic formulations. By facilitating deeper absorption, Cosmoperine works as a “delivery booster” for actives such as vitamins, peptides, plant extracts, and antioxidants.
Cosmoperine is supplied as a fine powder or in liquid form, depending on the application. It has a neutral odor, disperses easily in formulations, and is compatible with a wide range of oils, surfactants, emulsifiers, and active complexes. Stable across different pH levels, it integrates smoothly into skincare and haircare products without causing irritation when used at recommended levels.
