Product Description
Tea Tree Glycolic Extract Functional Botanical Ingredient for Liquid Formulation Systems
Tea tree glycolic extract is a botanical extract derived from Melaleuca alternifolia using a glycol carrier and applied as a functional ingredient in liquid formulation systems. This raw material is used in aqueous solutions, emulsions and hybrid products as an active or technological component. The glycol base ensures compatibility with hydrophilic phases, improves component distribution and enhances formulation stability. It is widely used in food production, flavor systems, cosmetics, SPA, aromatherapy and cleaning products as well as contract manufacturing. Compatible with emulsifiers, polysaccharides, proteins and stabilizers enabling scalable and flexible formulation development.
Functional properties and role in formulation
The extract functions as a botanical functional ingredient ensuring uniform distribution in aqueous and emulsion systems. It contributes to structural homogeneity and interacts with the water phase and stabilizing agents. It can be incorporated during water phase preparation or at controlled cooling stage. Compatible with hydrolates, extracts, gelling agents and emulsifiers and demonstrates stable behavior during processing.
Properties and effect on final product
Ensures uniform texture and stable distribution in finished products. In liquid systems supports homogeneous structure formation. In food and flavor systems contributes to plant based profile. In cosmetic and SPA products acts as a botanical component. Provides stability and reproducibility.
Application
Used in Food & Beverage, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, hair care, SPA, aromatherapy, cleaning, pharmaceutical and fragrance industries. Applied in contract manufacturing and private label production.
Recipe Tea Tree Purifying Toner Hydrophilic System
Tea tree glycolic extract — 120 ml
Rosemary hydrolate — 600 ml
Glycerin — 80 g
Betaine — 40 g
Panthenol — 20 g
The process begins with preparation of the water phase by heating to approximately 60 degrees and dissolving betaine under continuous mixing until complete homogeneity. The system is cooled to 40 degrees and glycerin is added with mixing to ensure uniform distribution. Panthenol is introduced followed by mixing until full integration. At cooling stage below 35 degrees the glycolic extract is added with gentle mixing to maintain stability. Continuous mixing ensures uniform distribution and stable structure formation resulting in a homogeneous liquid product.
Manufacturing stability and scalability
The extract demonstrates stability in aqueous and emulsion systems under controlled temperature conditions. Easily scalable due to liquid form and compatibility with industrial processes. Ensures batch consistency and reliable performance in B2B production.
