Orange Blend, 100 ml
Orange Blend is a ready-made citrus accord rather than a single oil. According to the product card it combines bitter orange, sweet orange, petitgrain, tangerine and bergamot essential oils, with Latvia as the country of production. The 100 ml bottle is the size for trying the blend in your own products, adjusting the dose and running a few pilot batches before a citrus line goes into regular production.
Why a blend instead of straight orange oil
Sweet orange on its own is cheerful but short-lived, and it can smell flat in a finished product. Adding bitter orange gives a crisp, slightly bitter edge, tangerine rounds the sweetness, bergamot brings an elegant tea-like note and petitgrain, distilled from the leaves and twigs of the bitter orange tree, adds a green, woody body that helps the scent last. Balancing five oils yourself takes time; here the work is already done.
Pilot product ideas
Body oil
In a light carrier blend, the citrus accord reads bright and clean, ideal for a morning body oil.
Room and linen spray
Premix the blend with a solubiliser, then add it to water or a hydrosol for a fresh room or linen spray.
Hand wash
In a mild liquid hand wash, orange gives an uplifting, familiar scent that customers recognise instantly.
A note on sun sensitivity
Cold-pressed bergamot and bitter orange contain furocoumarins, which can make skin more sensitive to sunlight. In leave-on products applied to exposed skin, keep the blend level low and rely on the safety assessment. Rinse-off products and home fragrance are much less affected.
Levels and method
For rinse-off products, start between 0.5 and 1 %. For leave-on products the level is lower and is set by the safety assessment. Add the blend to the oil phase below 40 °C, or premix it with a solubiliser for water-based products. Hydrosols for sprays are in wholesale hydrosols.
Pilot batch: linen spray, 100 ml
Mix 2 g of polysorbate 20 with 0.8 ml of Orange Blend until clear. Add 0.5 g of a water-compatible preservative and top up to 100 ml with distilled water or orange blossom hydrosol, then shake well. Spray onto a test cloth and check for marks after drying. Once the spray is approved, the 1 L container of this blend covers regular production. More citrus oils are listed under wholesale essential oils, and carrier oils for body products under wholesale liquid oils.
Storage
Citrus oils oxidise faster than most essential oils. Keep the bottle tightly closed in a cool, dark place, and close it promptly after use.
Pairing ideas
The orange accord takes well to vanilla, cinnamon, clove, lavender and cedarwood. For a fresher result, try a touch of mint or eucalyptus. During pilot work, build two or three versions with one extra note each and compare which suits the product concept.
Allergen labelling
Citrus oils are rich in limonene, and bergamot and petitgrain also contain linalool.

Is it suitable for linen sprays?
Yes, premixed with a solubiliser. Test on fabric first.
