Why Fucus Butter Suits Large-Scale Body Care Manufacturing
Natural Fucus Butter is produced from the brown seaweed Fucus vesiculosus processed together with plant oils, which allows the finished product to retain the polysaccharides, mineral complex and natural iodine typical of this algae. This concentrate is widely used in spa formulations, thalassotherapy products, anti-cellulite and firming body treatments, as well as in hair masks and creams designed to improve skin firmness. The 1 kg packaging targets studio and industrial manufacturers who need reliable batch consistency and uninterrupted supply for larger production runs. This product belongs to the Butters category, which brings together dense plant fats and butters used as a base for creams, balms, candles and other solid formulations.
Across global markets, fucus butter is most commonly applied in body care lines: anti-cellulite creams, wraps, contouring gels, as well as in scalp and hair strengthening products, where the algae's ability to support tissue tone is particularly valued. A separate application area is professional spa manufacturing, where the butter is blended into salon-grade wrap and massage formulations. In food and pharmaceutical industries similar marine concentrates are also used as a natural mineral source, though the main demand remains concentrated in cosmetic and spa production.
Recommended usage rate ranges from 3 to 10 percent of the total formulation weight, depending on the desired concentration of active compounds and product type. The butter should be introduced during the oil phase at 60-70 degrees, melted on a water bath together with other solid ingredients, then cooled to 40-45 degrees before adding the water phase and active ingredients. It pairs well with lighter butters such as Olive Butter, which softens the texture and improves spreadability of the finished cream, as well as with Kokum Bater, which adds firmness and stability during storage. For anti-aging formulations, consider combining it with Poppy Seed Butter, which complements the marine complex with nourishing lipids.
Fucus butter should be stored in a sealed container, in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources, to preserve the stability of its active compounds throughout the use of a large batch. When working with the 1 kg format, it is advisable to portion the product into smaller working containers for daily use, keeping the main volume sealed to minimize air exposure.

Melt the oil phase of fucus butter, olive butter, kokum butter and emulsifier on a water bath at 65 degrees, then add grapeseed oil and mix until smooth. Separately heat the water to 45 degrees and slowly pour it into the oil phase while stirring continuously or using a blender until a stable emulsion forms. Once the mixture cools to 40 degrees, add the seaweed extract, mix thoroughly and pour the cream into clean jars for further use.
