Argan Oil & Rosehip Oil botanical lipid blend for formulation systems and multi-industry applications
Argan Oil & Rosehip Oil is a combined plant-derived oil system integrating Argania spinosa kernel oil and Rosa canina seed oil into a balanced lipid composition. This blend is used in cosmetic formulations, SPA applications, functional oil systems and industrial processing where stable botanical oils with complementary profiles are required. The combination allows formulators to work with a structured oil phase that supports consistency, spreadability and compatibility in multi-component systems.
From a formulation perspective, argan oil contributes a stable triglyceride matrix rich in oleic and linoleic fractions, while rosehip oil introduces a lighter lipid profile with a higher proportion of polyunsaturated components. The combination results in an oil system with controlled viscosity, improved distribution and enhanced adaptability in emulsions and anhydrous formulations. The lipid synergy allows integration into both simple and complex formulations without destabilizing the system.
In cosmetic applications, this oil blend is used in serums, emulsions, creams, balms and oil-based systems as part of the lipid phase. In hair care, it is incorporated into conditioners, masks and leave-in systems. In SPA formulations, it is used in massage oils and treatment compositions. In nutraceutical and food-related applications, similar oil systems may be used in functional blends and specialty formulations. In industrial processes, it is applied where plant-based lipid systems are required for formulation development.
Functionally, Argan Oil & Rosehip Oil acts as a carrier lipid phase, supporting uniform distribution of oil-soluble components. It contributes to the sensory profile and ensures compatibility with emulsifiers, waxes and other lipid ingredients. It does not form structure independently but plays a key role in the formulation matrix.
In formulation practice, the oil blend is introduced into the oil phase of emulsions or used directly in anhydrous systems. It is compatible with natural waxes, fatty alcohols, emulsifying systems and antioxidant complexes. Proper blending ensures uniform distribution and stability.
Usage levels are determined by formulation design and adjusted depending on the desired lipid content.
Example formulation: Botanical oil serum system
Argan Oil Cold Pressed Cosmetic Grade 50 ml
Rosehip Seed Oil Refined or Virgin 30 ml
Squalane Olive Derived Emollient 10 ml
Tocopherol Vitamin E Antioxidant 1 ml
Coenzyme Q10 Lipid Soluble Active 1 g
Fragrance Composition Oil Soluble 2 ml
Caprylic Capric Triglyceride Carrier Oil 6 ml
Process: argan oil and rosehip oil are combined to form the base lipid phase. Caprylic/capric triglyceride and squalane are added under mixing to adjust spreadability. Lipid-soluble active components are introduced and fully dissolved. Tocopherol is added to stabilize the system. Fragrance composition is incorporated at the final stage. The blend is mixed until uniform.
Example formulation: Emulsion system with botanical oil blend
Purified Water Phase 60 ml
Argan Oil & Rosehip Oil Blend 15 ml
Glyceryl Stearate Citrate Emulsifier System 5 g
Cetearyl Alcohol Structuring Agent 3 g
Glycerin Vegetable Humectant 5 g
Aloe Vera Leaf Juice Concentrate 8 ml
Phenoxyethanol Ethylhexylglycerin Preservative System 1 g
Citric Acid pH Adjustment Solution 3 g
Process: the oil phase consisting of the botanical oil blend, emulsifier and structuring agent is heated separately. The water phase is prepared by combining water, glycerin and aloe concentrate. Both phases are brought to the same temperature and emulsified under mixing. After emulsification, the system is cooled with continuous stirring. Preservative is added and pH is adjusted. The formulation is mixed until stable.
Argan Oil & Rosehip Oil provides a versatile botanical lipid solution for modern formulations. It supports stable processing, compatibility with diverse ingredient systems and flexible application across cosmetic, SPA and industrial sectors.
