Why Abisoft Works as a Multi-Tasking Base for Stable Emulsions
Abisoft is a multifunctional ingredient that combines the roles of emollient, thickener, and emulsion stabilizer within a single component. This versatility makes it widely used in industrial cosmetic manufacturing - creams, lotions, balms, and body or facial emulsions all benefit from its texture-building properties. The 1 kg pack size is well suited for small-batch studio production and for labs testing formulations before scaling up to full production lines. This ingredient belongs to the Active Complexes section, which brings together functional additives designed to build stable, reliable formulas.
The strongest global demand for Abisoft comes from skincare manufacturing, where it gives creams a velvety, non-greasy finish and improves spreadability on skin, something heavier oils often struggle with. Beyond facial and body care, the ingredient is also used in hair care production, helping create lightweight leave-in formulas and conditioners that do not weigh hair down. In color cosmetics, manufacturers rely on it to stabilize foundation and BB cream bases, since it blends smoothly with pigments without altering their shade. Less frequently, but still notably, it appears in household chemical formulations, particularly cream-type cleaning products, and occasionally in cream-soap recipes where a softer texture is desired.
From a technical standpoint, Abisoft is introduced into the oil phase at 70-75 degrees Celsius, then combined with a water phase heated to the same temperature. The recommended dosage ranges from 3 to 8 percent of the total formula weight depending on the desired thickness: lighter lotions require the lower end, while dense creams and balms call for the upper range. The ingredient pairs well with active additives introduced during the cooling stage below 40 degrees, such as the Anti-Puffiness Complex for eye and leg care formulas, or the Phytoestrogen Complex for mature skin products. For anti-aging lines, Abisoft is frequently combined with the Intensive Lifting Complex, producing a rich yet easily absorbed texture suitable for lifting serums and creams.
Store Abisoft in its original tightly sealed container, in a dry place at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Under proper storage conditions, the ingredient retains its stated technological properties for the full shelf life specified by the manufacturer.
Lightweight Body Emulsion Base
Abisoft - 40 g
Sweet almond oil - 60 g
Distilled water - 850 g
Glycerin - 30 g
Additional emulsifier - 15 g
Fragrance oil - 5 g
Heat
the oil phase containing Abisoft and almond oil to 75 degrees, and separately
heat the water with glycerin to the same temperature. Combine both phases and
mix thoroughly until a uniform emulsion forms, then cool while stirring
continuously. Once the mixture reaches 40 degrees, add the fragrance oil, pour
the finished emulsion into clean containers, and allow it to stabilize at room
temperature for 24 hours.
