One blended formula that simplifies liquid cleanser production
Tensidemengsel HT is a ready-made balanced blend of surfactants designed to speed up and stabilize the creation of washing and cleaning formulations without the need to manually calculate ratios of individual surfactants. This approach saves formulator time and reduces the risk of errors during scale-up, which is especially valuable for small manufacturers that have moved from occasional trials to regular batch production. The product belongs to the category of Surfactants, which brings together components for foaming and cleansing systems of varying mildness.
The main application area of this blend is the production of liquid cleaning products for household and cosmetic use: shampoos, shower gels, liquid soap, dishwashing liquids, car shampoos and surface cleaning formulas. Thanks to the combination of anionic and nonionic components, the blend delivers stable foam, strong cleansing performance and acceptable mildness to the skin when properly diluted. This is why Tensidemengsel HT is in demand not only in cosmetic manufacturing but also in household chemical production, where foam stability across different water hardness levels matters greatly.
The blend combines well with additional mild surfactants when the final formula requires a gentler profile for sensitive skin or children's product lines. Adding Coco Glucoside reduces the irritation potential of the formula and improves skin feel without sacrificing foam quality. To stabilize foam and increase the viscosity of the finished product, formulators often add Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, which also softens the overall profile of the cleansing system. When additional conditioning effect and reduced post-wash dryness are needed, Olivamido Propyl Betaine is introduced, blending smoothly with the main components of the mixture.
A typical usage rate of Tensidemengsel HT in finished formulations ranges from 15 to 35 percent of the total mass depending on the required foam density and final viscosity. It is recommended to add the blend during the water phase combination stage, at a temperature not exceeding 40-45 degrees, to avoid breaking down its structure and losing functional properties. After addition, the mixture should be thoroughly stirred until homogeneous, then adjusted to the desired viscosity with a thickener and pH corrected with citric acid if needed. Store the blend in tightly closed packaging, in a dry area at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and temperature fluctuations that could affect stability.
The 1 kg packaging suits studio and small-batch production well, when batches are released regularly but volumes have not yet reached industrial scale. This size allows formulators to test the recipe across several batches and refine proportions before moving to larger purchases.
Everyday hand soap base with tensid blend
Tensidemengsel HT 200 g
Distilled water 660 ml
Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate 35 ml
Coco Glucoside 45 g
Glycerin 20 ml
Thickener 15 ml
Citric acid 5 g
Fragrance oil 5 ml
Gradually
add Tensidemengsel HT into room-temperature water, stirring gently until fully
dissolved. Add Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate and Coco Glucoside, continuing
to mix at low speed to prevent excessive foaming. Once the mixture is uniform,
introduce glycerin, then add the thickener in small portions while checking
viscosity after each addition. Finally, adjust the pH with citric acid and
blend in the fragrance oil, mixing thoroughly before filling into containers.
