The oil phase is prepared by combining Tegosoft P with oils, squalane, caprylic triglycerides and cetearyl alcohol and heating until homogeneous. In a separate vessel purified water and glycerin are blended to prepare the aqueous phase. Both phases are combined under intensive mixing to form a stable emulsion. After cooling the preservative system is added and mixing continues until uniform. The pH is adjusted to a balanced level suitable for emulsion stability. The final formulation forms a lightweight cosmetic cream.
