Cosmetic Recipe: Refreshing Pterocaulon Decurrens Foot Spray

Ingredient Quantity (by volume)
Witch Hazel Hydrosol (Alcohol-Free) 70 ml
Distilled Water 20 ml
Polysorbate 20 (Solubilizer) 2 ml
Pterocaulon decurrens Essential Oil 1 ml
Peppermint Essential Oil 0.5 ml
Tea Tree Essential Oil 0.5 ml

Instructions:

  1. In a clean glass beaker, combine the Witch Hazel Hydrosol and distilled water.
  2. In a separate small container, mix the Pterocaulon decurrens Essential Oil, Peppermint Essential Oil, and Tea Tree Essential Oil with the Polysorbate 20. Stir gently until the essential oils are fully dispersed. Polysorbate 20 helps to solubilize the essential oils in the water-based mixture.

  4. Carefully pour the mixture into a clean spray bottle.

Application Recommendations:

  • Shake well before each use.
  • Spray liberally onto clean, dry feet, paying attention to the soles and between the toes.
  • Allow to air dry.
  • Use as needed throughout the day to refresh and deodorize feet.
  • Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight.
  • Perform a patch test on a small area of skin before widespread use to check for any potential sensitivity to the essential oils.
  • Adjust the amount of Pterocaulon decurrens Essential Oil to your preference for fragrance intensity, starting with a lower concentration if you have sensitive skin.
