Grape skin polyphenols plant-derived active concentrate for aqueous formulations and functional systems
Grape skin polyphenols are a concentrated botanical ingredient obtained from the outer layer of grape berries while preserving a complex profile of naturally occurring phenolic compounds. This raw material is used in food technology, nutraceutical systems, cosmetic formulations, pharmaceutical development and industrial applications where integration of plant-based water-compatible actives into stable systems is required.
In formulation environments, grape skin polyphenols are valued as a botanical concentrate designed for aqueous and hybrid formulations. The ingredient is incorporated into systems focused on combining plant-derived materials with hydrophilic structures. Due to its compatibility with water-based media, it disperses efficiently in liquid formulations and integrates well with multifunctional ingredient systems.
In food manufacturing, grape skin polyphenols are included in beverage concentrates, functional drink systems, powdered blends and plant-based liquid formulations. In nutraceutical applications, they are used in capsules, soluble powders and concentrated aqueous compositions. In pharmaceutical development, they may form part of combined botanical systems. In cosmetic products, they are incorporated into serums, toners, gels and emulsion-based formulations. In hair care systems, they are integrated into the aqueous phase of multi-component products. In SPA-oriented applications, they are used in concentrated treatment solutions and professional care systems.
Functionally, grape skin polyphenols operate as a dispersed botanical component within the aqueous phase, supporting even ingredient distribution throughout the formulation. They contribute to phase consistency and interact effectively with hydrophilic materials such as polysaccharides, amino acid systems and botanical extracts. In multi-component systems, they assist in maintaining formulation uniformity.
During processing, the ingredient is introduced into the water phase under controlled temperature conditions. It is compatible with glycerin, hyaluronic acid solutions, panthenol, beta glucan, niacinamide and mild preservative systems. In transparent formulations, proper dissolution and pH stabilization are important for maintaining system clarity and consistency.
Usage level depends on technical specifications and is adjusted according to formulation structure and intended system concentration.
Example formulation: Aqueous serum with grape polyphenol complex
Purified water 72 ml
Grape skin polyphenols 3 g
Glycerin 5 g
Hyaluronic acid solution 1% 10 ml
Panthenol 3 g
Beta glucan 2 g
Preservative 1 g
pH adjuster 4 g
Process: disperse grape skin polyphenols into purified water under continuous mixing until a uniform system is obtained. Add glycerin, hyaluronic acid solution and beta glucan sequentially while maintaining agitation. After stabilization, incorporate panthenol and preservative. Adjust pH and continue mixing until the serum becomes homogeneous before filling.
Example formulation: Gel system with botanical grape complex
Purified water 68 ml
Grape skin polyphenols 3 g
Glycerin 5 g
Xanthan gum 0.8 g
Niacinamide 3 g
Grape hydrosol 10 ml
Panthenol 3 g
Preservative 1 g
pH adjuster 6 g
Process: pre-disperse xanthan gum in glycerin and add to water with controlled mixing to form a gel base. Introduce grape skin polyphenols and grape hydrosol until evenly distributed. After stabilization, add niacinamide, panthenol and preservative. Final pH adjustment is performed before homogenization and filling.
Grape skin polyphenols are used in formulation systems requiring stable incorporation of botanical water-compatible ingredients into aqueous environments. They are suitable for food, cosmetic and industrial applications where multifunctional plant-derived concentrates are integrated into advanced formulations.
